****SOLD FOR $4000 TO A CL BUYER****

This is the rare non ABS model and if you are interested in this bike and ride enthusiastically this is the one you want. The ABS on this bike was so bad I traded my ABS model in for this one back in the day.

I just don't ride the damned thing enough since retiring, (riding bicycles now at age 69 which my Doctor likes), though it is an excellent light all arounder that can easily be ridden across State lines. 50 mpg is nice as is the "fill like a car" gas tank location with no need to remove tank bag to gas up the 4.2 gallon tank. I did put a footpeg lowering kit on it that you can see in the 2nd photo as I'm almost 6'1" which gave me a little bit more knee comfort; I have the originals. The lowered footpegs have never touched down while cornering even on Trinity Road.

Belt drive is a plus as is the 460lb wet weight, heated grips, heated vest plug in port and included side bags/tank bag/tail bag. Has optional center stand, Race Tech emulators in fork and frame and axle sliders. As mentioned, comes with BMW model specific tank bag and BMW expandable side cases which are keyed to the ignition key. Sargent seat and I still have the stock seat. Has Battery Tender cord already attached to battery with easy access to the cable under the bodywork.

13,050 miles, one owner, always garaged, clean title, never dropped, no accidents, new Metzeler Sportec M9 RR Tires, battery and oil/filter change in April brake fluid replace in June. I chose to throw on some ultra sticky tires to see if it would renew my interest in riding but alas I've put less than 50 miles on them so you will have to remove the chicken strips as now that I'm selling no more riding it for me.

Never tracked or even tried to find the top speed which is around 130 mph according to the magazine tests of the time. Always garaged.

If you want specific photos of any given area just let me know. No test rides without cash in hand and I will lead you around the area in my Miata if you wish.

I'm keeping all my gear as down the road I will buy a smaller moto for riding around Sonoma County, no more Tahoe trips for me.

That thing is sweet. It's even my color!
But I have 10 bikes in the garage and I'm restoring a 30' 1976 Sailboat.
I simply can't justify this.
I will keep my eyes out for a good buyer though.
I'm hoping the red BMW is still safe in your garage?

The beloved red K75S died in 2007 which is why I got the F800ST.

I was left turned by a crafty old granny.

I didn't realize MCN was still being published in 2007.

I'd still like to see an update model of this using the new motor.

Looks like a Corbin seat on there.
I recall a recent thread about them.

Yea, but that XR doesn't really look dramatically different from my 750GS.

Contrast the R-GS, R-RS, R-RT.

Sorry, didn't mean to derail your FS thread.

Bike looks good. GLWS!

Bike is in for the recommended at 12k valve adjustment and new valve cover gasket.

A beauty! But somehow I'm biased to white. :laughing

Good luck withe sale, Geoff. If I sell mine first, I'll buy you a juicy burger and a cold pint. Been too long, mate!

Sadly these bikes are under appreciated and thus largely ignored.

Best of luck to you as well.

If I sell mine first your offer will be matched in reverse; you just have to come closer to Santa Rosa.

Maybe Lagunitas in Petaluma.

Worse comes to worse as I'm having the valves adjusted at the moment is I'll keep for a year and then consign to Santa Clara Accessories in the spring.

I know you don't have that luxury.

nice bike , wish I would buy it. Kinda really a model that'd be for me.

damn, look at that nice service history

tsk tsk , he diden't!
Just picked it up from BP moto for a valve adjustment check and new valve cover gasket, they changed the oil again and topped up the coolant. New spark plugs.

$922 and the valves were perfectly in spec at 13k miles. I'd not check for another 20k miles.

I could have not done the service but the valve cover gasket was weeping and I didn't want to sell it that way.

Massive bonus to the new buyer, nice work
I'm an idiot and should keep it for another year but alas, I just don't ride it anymore though every time I do I marvel at what an under appreciated bike it is.

Couple of guys interested in it from CL but the guy who is coming tomorrow is 6; 4: tall which seems a bitt tall.

I'm 3 inches shorter than that and on really long rides I have to stretch.

But he has a Bonneville and a K75 so don't know.
