Just the beginning (Tesla Roadster)

This won't ever be street legal, imagine hitting the thrusters and blinding every car behind you and causing accidents.

And how the hell will it ever be able to fly and know what the road conditions will be upon landing, it's always got to be in a controlled environment

Plans and helicopters land on specific pieces of tarmac or rooftops, this flying car gonna knock over so many power lines lol

Also didn't f1 ban fans to do suction to increase traction like in the 60/70s?

All of this assumes that it is real.

It isn’t.

I dunno but the video has live audiences and it does fly, I don't think this will ever be allowed other then in a controlled environment

What do you mean?

It flips and bounces and has jet nozzles to balance it, it seems naturally in those movements, what motion do you think is computer generated?

There will be a non thrusters variant available that will be street legal.

Ppl who think this is fake should see the other in person phone views and not just the Tesla marketing YouTube video.

Not sure how you can still think this is fake lol

Many things on YouTube have an auto generated transcript. I grab those AI generated transcripts and feed them to my own AI to summarize them and get the salient points.

It's real, multiple other videos of real people at the event.

Also if you really shared this YouTube wiith any llm.

All of them would give the same answer and say ITS REAL

Lol

Considering the horsepower of the sensors, guidance, and control software, arguably all of the motion is computer generated! lol

I think its real.

I think its marvelous.

I think its grand someone is playing with stuff like this, regardless of how marketable it is.

I look at some of those videos of the high end Chinese luxury cars, and they're amazing.

And while I fully believe that Ford/GM/Stellantis could "make" (at least from a tech demo show car POV) cars like that, they don't. I understand why they don't, as they have to spend their own money instead of the States money. But it would still be nice to see them showing off crazy stuff like this and those, rather than an electric Maverick style truck.

So bravo to the Johnny Jet Pack car, even if it never sees the light of day.

(And the aero tech in the car is amazing, even without the thrusters. All the fun stuff F1 won't do.)

Why didn't they do it in the daylight?
They prolly did it in the day in a controlled environment enclosed hangar structure is my guess

This is like day 2 of the reveal, and we will probably continue to get all sorts of crap later on.

Remember Tesla never pays for tv commercials advertising

And it does things like this where it's basically free advertising and we keep enabling it

I'm confused, which consumers asked for a car that can drive inverted on non-existent inverted roads?

BTW good luck getting that compressed gas launch system approved by any government. Spraying that stupid crap at drivers behind you, yeah like that's gonna be allowed on public roads.

Tesla needs to focus on improving their quality. Most other EV makers eat them for lunch in that department.

I think people are missing what we saw: a Tesla product for use in Space-X exploration(s). A "Mars car" of sorts.

I'd go for a 150 HP 4 banger that weighed 2000 lbs and had a decent 5 speed. Oh and crank windows and an eight track.

That sounds horrible. Like Pontiac Fiero, horrible.

Mr. Thunderfoot shares some thoughts on gas thrusters.

I can't believe any serious person thinks this stunt is anything more than the stock manipulation we have seen from the South African huckster over and over and over and over. :laughing You fan boys are either fools or liars.

If only my Fiero had 150hp. It was 135hp. From a V6 too. Also 2700lbs. My god it just wasn’t possible to really go too fast to get in any real trouble in that thing. And even if you tried to, so much air pressure built up under the front hood, the headlight doors started trying to pop up on their own at about 120. So you were forced to turn on the headlights (speed brakes) out of fear of ripping the doors off the hood.

Still miss that thing though. Teenage me did all kinds of driving in that car.
