TV Shows I am enjoying …and Movies

Sicario is good, yea, the sequel less so.

My favorite movies of his (Taylor Sheridan) are "Wind River" and "Hell or High Water".

I stopped Yellowstone somewhere in Season 3 I think, I haven't really bothered to watch any of his other stuff.

I also saw recently a movie of his that he directed, but it escapes me. It was OK.

Binged about 5 episodes of Carrie last night. Interesting take on the classic.

Lioness is fantastic! Cruise’s ex wife, whatshername, is outstanding as a type A potty mouth. Wish it was 20 seasons long.
CODE FUCKING RED

Season 3 released in August on Paramount +

All eight EPS available now!

Agree that Sic1>Sic2.

I liked Yellowstone even though Beth is hard to watch along with that whiner wife of the pretty boy son. Speaking of which, tuned into Marshalls. It sucks. What a joke they made him an exSEAL - so trendy now.

I caught the tail end of this at a hotel this past weekend. I enjoyed it enough to try and find a place to watch the whole thing. I love movies like this. Gives me the vibes of 1408 chills.

Me too...was a really good recommendation.

Wind River - top of my all time list. Movie was great. Hell or High Water also very good. Yellowstone became too much of a soap opera. I finished it but had no desire to watch any of the spin off shows.

Landman is good if you haven't got into that.

Angels and Demons.
Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, a Dan Brown story.

Netflix. Soon to go away.
Quite good.

Below on Netflix seems interesting. Episode 1 down and 5 more to go.
I am well into it. 5 is on tap... keep thinking... nah never mind, but keep watching.

Interesting, weird, WTF... can't say I love it or even like it, but it has drawn me in with the weirdness.

Watched the Norm McDonald biography movie on NF.

If you like Norm McDonald, it chock full of Norm McDonald.

I never followed him closely, didn't watch much SNL. But always enjoyed his humor. I liked his movie (I even bought the video cassette).

The biography is pretty good.

Backrooms felt like the story never really got fully told like no before and not after just this middle, but I understand if you just plopped in the middle of it - it's all intriguing with all the wtf going on

I've been watching Dark Matter on Amazon Prime (appleTV). It's a parallel universe, sci/fi thing. I also started watching MurderBot but my wife doesn't like it. It's kinda campy.

I rewatched The Terminal List: Dark Wolf recently. I really liked the action scenes. Funny, but my wife can't seem to stay awake during the episodes.

We like the Euro espionage/caper shows. Star City was good as was Kleo.

Homeland was okay for a while until it turned into a soap opera. (Same thing with Reacher)

New season of American Horror Story is good so far. They've never had a bad season, not to me at least, and this one is holding up to AHS standards so far.

As far as movies? I did NOT enjoy watching Whalefall. Holy shit what a ridiculous movie this was. This guy's dad killed himself by strapping weights to himself and jumping into the ocean. So his son gets his scuba gear and goes to the location where his dad drowned himself. But he only has a tank with one hour of air. So... if your dad was weighted that means he's at the bottom of the ocean. You think you're going to dive to the bottom of the ocean, find your dad's body and make it back to the surface in one hour? OH and then while he's on the way down, he gets swallowed by a fucking whale... Annnnd then there's the rest of the movie. I'm not sure if this one was supposed to be a comedy or not but I was laughing. It's a good thing I didn't pay money for this trainwreck.

I wanted to like Backrooms. The concept is cool but it just didn't do much for me. I think a difference director and production team could have done a lot better with the concept. And I'm generally easy to please with movies. There's a lot of movies I enjoyed many people thought were garbage.

Just finished season 3 of slow horses and the only season of lanterns. Both brilliant shows.
