Baseball '26

I love the speed of the Brewers. Makes the games really dynamic for me.
More fun than just launching bombs.

Haven’t watched baseball in years but having been born in the hometown of Schlitz beer I enjoyed watching the Brewers that are still going. DVR certainly helps.

This years Brewers are looking comically huge, more like an art project, of size and style.
Making the bats look smaller, almost a joke.
What a game last nite,

Wondering how hard the SF Giants are celebrating ?

Screw you and your limitless payroll and deferring salaries Dodgers!!! Sadly this only means they'll likely overspend this off season.

But...there's going to be a lockout with this summer because owners want a salary cap. I agree there should be as teams like the Dodgers and Yankees generate significantly more $$$ than teams like the Rays or Twins, they can afford to overspend.

But it doesn't seem to really matter.

Brewers are below the median league salary, so are the Guardians and the Rays. The "rich" teams did not perform well in the post season, or even get there.

Pretty sure the Dodgers didn't get their $60M value out of Tucker this year.

Well, the card is set.

Rays v Brewers meeting in Milwaukee for the Fall Classic.

The Network and MLB nightmare has come true. The Cheesheads bordering the Canadian Tundra to the north vs Team Florida Man out of the mosquito infested swamps of the south. Rather than drawing the eyes of the 30M people from the glistening cites of the East and West Coast, they've got the viewership of 15 guys with 20 year old pickup trucks and cheap beer, half of which would rather be hunting, and the other half fishing or racing airboats.

The NLCS did not show show the fall of the Dodgers, rather just the landing of them like a Cincinnati turkey. The fall was already well in progress by the time they got to the NLCS. You could see the desperation they were feeling when Shohei Ohtani stepped up as the lead off man of the inning, and showed bunt. Shohei Ohtan...showed...bunt. Doc should be ashamed. Like a dog chasing a car, what was Shohei going to do if he actually got the ball, run it out on a bad knee? I don't think that was well thought out. That was embarrassing.

I am glad he got off his 3 run homer in Game 4. A happy Ohtani is better baseball for everyone, and he was just not happy this series. It didn't matter, of course. The turkey had landed. But it was nice to see.

The Guardians just struggled to pull it together. Draining the bullpen like the swamp the Rays came out of, matching every pitcher up as best they could, but it just didn't work. The Rays had crazy energy and they were all over the bases, with a bit of power for some insurance in the late games.

Rays v Brewers is going to busy. Looks to be a small ball series with occasions of grandeur. But otherwise, they're just going to grind on each other, try to survive through the fourth game so they can reset their rotations for the fifth.

Neither team has won the WS before. Someone will go home with the trophy this time. There are no ties in baseball.

Both have been to the World Series in the past, 44 years ago for the Brewers, 2018 for the Rays, but it's been 46 years since two teams without championships have faced each other.

I''m rooting for the Brewers. I wish Bob Uecker were still here to see it. I would have loved to listen to his call on the radio of one of the games. But we lost him last year.

But here it comes, Friday night. Joe Davis and John Smoltz on the Fox call.

Awesome post :applause

I am rooting for the Brewers as well. And yeah... wish Bob was around for this :rose

AI Bob Uecker to the radio booth.
The Brewers will squeeze the Rays like an Everglades python.

I was hoping the guardians made it, because i believed in Stephen Vogt.
Either way, should be fun to watch with no skin in the game (like every year).

Same. I am a Vogt fan and would like to see him win it all.

Me, three. Would’ve been fun to keep the WS in the midwest, too. But who would Harry Doyle have announced for, Cleveland or the Brewers? Sure wish he was here for this. Kinda cool to know that someone is going to win their first ever WS trophy!

Go Brewers!

A couple years ago I worked a lot at our company site near Milwaukee (Hello Franklin!). Made a bunch of friends there and I am hoping they get to celebrate. Good folks out there. Hopefully they will Drink Wisconsonably...

I think this match up will NOT be a big national draw, but I appreciate the small market match up greatly!!!

Those rich teams can bugger off!!!

After watching the Brewers lay waste to the Dodgers, I’ll be watching and rooting for them. It was very good baseball. I’ll be excited for whoever gets their first WS trophy, but I’d really like to keep it out of Florida.

End of game, last double play, reduced to one out, I did see that from the jump.
I thought second base pulled his foot, as it happened.
I have been noticing Giants double plays for the season, some looked this close to fail also.
I was already conditioned to look, I wasn't the only one to notice, , ,

First game, woman in the yellow sweater, front row behind home plate, and her Hot Wing partner,
Wing Man, back up pilot/plane
Wing woman, does't work,
Hot wing, better ?

Game 2, I believe Hot wing returned,

Game 3 in Florida,

I would have more respect if "The Brewers" actually make beer, , ,
Go Brewers,
