TV Shows I am enjoying …and Movies

Beef - season 2. Started last night. First season was great. On Netflix.

I never got past the pilot on S1 it was so wacky. But apparently S1 was the better season. Then I started out on S2, it was pretty good for the first few episodes, but it IMO went kind of south in the latter half of the season.

The Diplomat is Très excellent !!! On Netflix, Season 3 and 4 just dropped!
If you haven't watched Season 1 & 2 Do Not, I repeat, Do Not just jump in, you've got start at the beginning !!!
I could binge through 3 & 4 but I'm pacing myself to 2 episodes per evening.

Yea I like The Diplomat. I feel like its a newer, sleezier version of The West Wing, which itself was a smart show but also a bit too smug and sanctimonious in tone, and The Diplomat kinda solves for that.

I also liked The Beast in Me. It's Claire Danes doing her typecast as the high functioning but neurotic and psychologically unstable woman, but in this plot its much more palatable than in Homeland, which IMO was just ridiculous and required too much suspension of disbelief.

10/9 in 2 days, Netflix: Animals.
Gillian Anderson, Ben Affleck, Kerry Washington (Scandal star), Matt Damon and more. Best pick up some killer popcorn for sure…

Holy plot holes on this thing! The handyman father character trashes the whole thing and made zero sense.

I started the Diplomat per FLH0 and so far I am enjoying it.

I watched The Cycle the other night. Starring Deborah Ann Woll who I have a huge celebrity crush on from her time on True Blood and Daredevil.

Anyway, the plot is she is an expert forensic scientist that assists the police in death mysteries but the mystery she has to solve now is the death of her father. Then it turns into something WAY different and I won't spoil that. Good movie.

I rewatched Whale Fall after that because the movie is so ridiculous and I needed a laugh after the stressful day I had.

Geeking on Quark Science. Series on Prime from 2011. Starting with the origins of the universe and how we measure it, figured out how old it was, etc. x 10

Until 1922 there were solid evidences that it was one galaxy.

From Aristotle to Einstein narrated by an Aussie Professor. Great examples of experiments.

Science, technology, and knowledge progress with years. I love science documentaries/shows. There's a lot about the planet, other planets, the galaxy that won't be discovered until long after you and I are dead. There's too much to know and find out. It's always going to be generational one to the other as long as humans exist.

On that tangent, I enjoy updates/tests about the large Hardon Collider. which is currently shut down. Yes, I spelled Hadron wrong on purpose because I am juvenile and like calling it the large Hardon Collider....

I used to date a girl and one of our things was taking weed edibles and watching science documentaries on Netflix while we were blasted out of our minds. Lot of things I forgot and rewatched later.

It was very good. I dig quantum physics, physics and all that stuff that is way over my paygrade. :teeth

I will be adding one episode a night for a while. A good one to play opposite of Hogan's Heros :laughing

Just watched Sacrifice on Netflix last night. It had the promise of a great cast but was sorely disappointing. It felt very hollow, linear and, in the end, pointless. Never really got going. My recommendation would be to sit this one out. Two thumbs down in my book.
