Have you ever bought anyting from a crack head, bum

Years ago back home on the East Side (NYC) I bought a new-in-box camcorder that turned out to be a brick. About a week later the dipshit junkie was dumb enough to try the same shit on the same corner, it cost him all his teeth and a couple of fingers too.

amps, speakers, headunits.

those tweakers are good for only one thing... cheap shit. :)

Cheap shit that they steal from people like me and you. I was pissed when my car got broken and wish that mfer can be in front of me for 1 sec. I would knock the sh*t out of him. he broke my window too and made a mess inside the car. :twofinger

:rofl :rofl :cry :rofl :laughing :laughing

Reminds me of a friend of mine who bought a dell laptop *Brand new* :laughing and thought he'd open it properly once he gets to find out that its a Yellow Pages hahah!

I used to get offers of "unbelievable deals" all the time. I tell everyone of these fuckers to keep walking, I don't buy shit. Eventually they learn I won't buy stolen goods no matter how good a deal it might be. I work hard for what I have, I never want my shit stolen and sold for pennies on the dollar. I refuse to contribute to the cycle.

One time I got into a heated discussion of weather or not the goods for sale were stolen..it was an entertaining day.

I've had lots of offers of tools, stereo equipment, etc., but I refuse to buy anything I think might be stolen.

If nobody bought the shit, a whole lot less would get ripped off.

+1

The last time someone came in "my" shop to sell tools from their trunk, I went though the process of shopping, then selection, and then demanded to see his drivers license to verify and record his identity....."to prevent movement of stolen tools"......that dude had those tools back in his trunk and sped off so fast it would make your head spin....but not faster than I could get his license plate number and call it in to the local police.....I don't know if anything happened but I have NO tolerance for thievery !! ESPECIALLY tools ! (yes, I have had mine stolen before)

When I am shopping at pawn shops the tools all look, to me, like someone's face when they just realize something irreplacable has been stolen

or some desperate destitute poor guy.

A buddy of mine bought a $300 rangefinding scope from a crack head/bummy type dude in Santa Cruz for 2 cigarettes and $10 dollars. Dude wanted $50 for it initially but was bargained down.

Initially, my buddy didnt realize it at the time of purchase since it was such a great deal, until i suggested that it might have been stolen 2 days laters.

He felt a bit dirty after that.

He should. Like others have said, and some have completely missed, all he's doing is perpetuating an economy built on crime. Go back through the pages of the KS, how many people have posted "My Car...", "My house...", "My neighbor's house"... "were broken into!"

Cheap stuff and bargains, my ass... that shit has a high price we all pay.

I bought some crack, speed, and heron once, all at once, then I snorted the three mixed together....Yummy.

F**k no I wouldn't if it was the best deal ever! I believe it has already been expressed why.

Where's the poll? Sell you one cheap. :laughing

Is your "buddy" that stupid not to think it was stolen?:confused

:laughing

well, he didn know the scope was as $300 until he googled the brand and model. He just assume it was some random dude seeling random shit, and it was more of a game to bargain the guy down.

I personally have never bought stolen gear.

But, then again you have to think about the "sweet deals" on ebay.

It's pretty easy to spot which ones are legit on ebay. One way is to check the previous auctions. If they are constantly selling stuff that's a pretty good sign it's stolen. I've only bought one thing cheap off ebay, and I'm pretty positive it wasn't stolen. Got a nice textile jacket for 43 bucks. The guy sent the jacket with two dollars cash tucked into one pocket with a note saying shipping was two dollars cheaper than he anticipated.

I won't buy anything that I believe to be stolen. Been on the other side of that waaay too many times to support the thieves' habits.

I bought a genuine Rolex for $20!!! :laughing

Just kidding. People who knowingly buy stolen shit are basically thieves that are too cowardly to steal it themselves.:|

If you steal shit, or knowingly buy stolen shit, then you deserve:
1. to have your shit stolen
2. to have your ass kicked
3. be thrown in jail with the rest of the common criminals

:thumbup

It's really not very difficult to do the right thing and be a decent human being.:cool
