Tire goes flat at 160mph???

Me too. I even doubted that the OP owned a motorcycle. I'm so ashamed.:(

I openly came out and said I don't like to "track lean", I like going fast, and it a straight line is the safest way, I do like skyline, redwood, pinehurst, and that whole area, I do like getting low, but not knee scraping low. I like 130mph twisties like cummings skyway near herculese/rodeo, not 40 mph twisties... well, not as much anyway, I do like 'em though.

Alert Alert all units, be on the lookout for flashy sportbike with stickers and trick sprockets, going at supersonic speed on cummings skyway. Use caution he's packing heat some little guns tattooed on upper arms.

i'll say this much.. i got a nail in my front tire when i first started riding.. and i didnt realize it until the tire was fully flat.. and i noticed it while i was turning it was so flat when i went to turn i almost dumped the bike.. so if you get a flat at 160mph it would not be pretty

+1

He just does it to get attention. He must be lonely. He must realize nobody believes a word he says. Really pretty sad. I think he needs help

yes and no. I think lots of your comments are hilarious and I enjoy reading them, but this 1 is not ment to cause attention, my tire went flat from seamingly going fast... why?
is it a michelin thing? if you don't believe believe me, I will lose no sleep, I don't know you why would I give a damn weather you believe me or not, I was there, I know it happend and that's all I need to know.

No, you also need to get the attention this thread potentially would generate...otherwise, why post it to begin with? :rofl

my thoughts exactly. but it did not blow, and I was in a straight line going fast so there will be some lift on the bike, I did not even notice it until I cought up to a bunch of cars so I slowed down and changed lanes, that's when I noticed the sluggishness

Op I'm sure you can afford a decent camera set up since you said u make $40 an hour. Can you please post vids of all ur awesome rides? I mean seriously ur the coolest rider I've heard of... Ever....

What did Jesse from the Pacheco Cycle Gear say when you called him this afternoon? I was standing there when he took the call.

When you go really fast, all the air gets flung to the outside of the tire, leaving the inner portion almost completely deflated. The higher partial pressure, along with the differential along the sidewall, causes the air molecules to permeate the rubber at a higher leak rate. The tire appears to have a higher pressure than it really does due to the heat and centrifugal force. Just look at top fuel dragsters. They run over 300mph with their tires at like 5psi.

Perhaps if you deflated your tires to 5 pounds before your next ultra high speed run it would go better.

maybe if you asked the question without the 160 MPH part you would have got a serious answer.

last few threads were damn funny. Now its just getting old.

I posted a question... read the question, that's why I posted it. I mentioned 160 because I'm wondering if Michelin did not design the tire to go fast, or is there a defect and I will return it, or what

he said he didn't think they were designed to go that fast... they are racing tires, doesn't sound right, I want more opinions
