Phillip Island, AUS-MOTOGP(spoilers)

He gave it hell. And this is another big Fuck you to the critics from Stoner.

Anyway, Rossi pretty much has the championship wrapped up at this point assuming he doesn't crash out.

So now Nicky has the trifecta - he's had races ruined in the opening corners by getting hit from behind by ex-250 riders from Japan, Italy and now Spain.

Maybe at Sepang his Ducati red leathers will be adorned with new sponsorship from Target, and their logo right on his back...

:laughing :laughing :laughing

Poor guy. I wasn't expecting more anything more than 10th-6th from him, but that really sucks.

Maybe Dorna's paying the smaller guys to gang up on the big ex-Superbike rider. :dunno

What was funny was Dorna's employees Nick and Gav assuring us that no one was at fault there, as if someone might blame Nicky for backing into Whore-Gay...

Ah, House's conspiracy theories....makes you wonder what planet he really is from, doesn't it? Hayden's problems don't stem from other people, they stem from him not qualifying high enough up the grid to avoid the crazies who try and make up for poor qualifying in a first corner rush.

Lol, definitely a conspiracy, yhup, I agree with you 110 percent, knock out 14th place in points Nicky Hayden for what?, soo funny…. Got to love your out look on all of this, sometimes I have the feeling you go out of your way to stir up things……..

Gooooo Stoner, glad to see you prove them all wrong on that bike no one can ride......

I think the funniest quote I read here on barf was the person that said "Rossi going to Ducati to help Hayden learn how to ride the Ducati" :rofl

Funny thing is, the way I saw it, Lorenzo bumped into Hayden 'cos Hayden was slow away and Hayden sat up and wobbled off onto the verge. But it seemed to me that Lorenzo recovered it and the bike was pointing straight when he got the wobbles again and went down. Curious.

Let's see, Hayden qualifies on the third row, then gets off the line fast enough to get by Lorenzo from the 2nd row, a guy who happens to be 2nd in points in the championship, has qualified on pole and has won 4 races, before they get into the first turn, then gets hit by Lorenzo from behind and the inside, Jorge trying to squeeze in between Nick and another rider, desperate not to lose more ground to Rossi at the start. And of course that's not his fault, it's Nick's fault for qualifying too poorly and getting hit by a "crazy" like Lorenzo. Yep, that all makes sense...

Corrected :teeth

I see that you have seen a self-evident pattern that Hayden keeps getting it in the rear by 250GP riders. I trust that other BARFers will take note too. Hayden's park, point and shoot style lead to this result when racing against (recent) 250GP riders. The latter dont park, point and shoot, but rather carry much higher corner speed entries and Hayden is clearly IN THE Fucking way!

So, The Estoril Karma keeps coming back again and again as if saying "see, you got hit by pedrosa's (falling bike in order to avoid hitting your slow ass) and since you and your fans refuse to believe this, here is another slice of pie, and another, and another.... still dont get it? Here is some more..."

Makes you tend to wonder if He likes it from behind... oh yeah, thats another thread here on BARF about preferences :laughing

To me it looked like Stoner was almost toying with Rossi. He'd let him get close enough to sniff his tail and then jet off. To Rossi's credit, I think he was torn between the need to ride for the championship and wanting to battle with Stoner and put on a good show. The powerslides they were doing were pretty cool tho.
The handshake & fist bump on the cool-down lap looked to me like there's no animosity between the two at the moment.
Of course that's my opinion, I could be wrong!

Rossi did the fastest race lap. That is hardly "toying" by stoner. In fact, stoner was over the ragged edge and Rossi was just "camping" behind stoner. As mentioned, Rossi was not going to risk the WC just win the race from a guy who is not currently a contender.

Stoner has ridden the Ducati much harder than that and could have again. His only sign of carelessness was a little wobble late in the race when the rear tyre was obviously past its use-by date. To say that he MAY have crashed if pressured is such arrant nonsense that it doesn't even deserve a rebuttal.

Fact 1. He DIDN'T crash.
Fact 2. Rossi couldn't apply enough pressure to MAKE hism crash.
Fact 3. Stoner-haters will ALWAYS find excuses why his win wasn't as worthwhile as everyone else knows it was.

Sorry, Karlitos, but you are so full of it that it's gone beyond the stage of being funny and has just got to be pathetic.

I watched the race live on ESPN and have to say Stoner kicked ass. He was in control 100% of the time. Pedrosa got a killer start, lead for maybe 1 lap and it was all Stoner after than.

The commentary related to the Hayden Lorenzo incident was so ridiculous it was almost funny. Hayden got a great start and was 4th or 5th setting up for turn 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tT7kI4gt0q8 make up your own mind but to me it clearly was Lorenzo's fault. Hayden did nothing sudden or unexpected, Lorenzo just ran into the back of Hayden.

One the RARE occasion when Stoner is actually candid, it was after the jerez race this year. While stoner hardly appeared to be riding the Duc at the ragged edge, he was trying hard to keep Lorenzo at bay. In fact mentioned on camara that was lucky to not have crashed, as he lost the front twice... but of course, you dont know that because from the looks on TV, Stoner was pretty much on rails.
