Kawi is a beast for being a 600. 7years since my last bike, and let me tell you this thing is a beast just no bottom end

For some reason I thought you were going to say something about this:

The ONLY model of Ducati Monster that I recommend against buying. Fortunately it's also the only one in recent memory that was not California emissions legal, so there are very few of them around here.

I can't quite follow what it is you're trying to say. Is there some kind of new ZX-6 or something?

are you gonna use it to give lessons up at 4 corners? :3

Actually, the 2009-2010 ZX-6R beat all the other supersports in most of the shoot outs. I got a 2009 this last January and I'm liking it. It's comfortable for a sport bike, having done 250 mile + days with no problems. I sat on everyone's supersport, including Triumphs, and the Kawa seemed to fit me best. The actual difference in performance is negligible at the street level, which is the only place I ride. It has plenty of power, at least for me, as I ride the Pace almost all the time. The monster edition is paint and cosmetics, same bike. I went for the black. They are dealing at the kawasaki shops, and there is good financing out there as well.

Now I get it...

So you guys are talking about this?

It's like talking with my wife. She expects me to be a mind reader and automatically know what she's talking about when the conversation changes direction.

So it's a beast you say?

Yep that's it just i've blacked it out and removed all stickers. It's amazing how far advance the bikes have become after my last 03. Night and day difference

So you bought the Monster Energy model, then peeled off the Monster Energy stickers? :wtf

Didn't you have to pay extra for that model versus a plain black one?

Wish I could fit on recent generation sport bikes... :cry

Why can't you fit on them? Is it more than a case of making a few changes, like to the handle bars and (if desired) the seat?

If this question is too personal, I'll understand if you don't want to say it.

I'm 6'3" tall with a 35" inseam. I can ride a newer generation bike (I had an '05 ZX6R), but do not choose to ride one on the street because of ergonomic issues. Previously I had an '07 ZZR600 (same as 2000-02 ZX6R) and was much happier with ergos. So this time around I got an '03 ZX9R which for me is a good sporting compromise for the street.

For track use, I could fold up on a newer bike (reference Xaus or Camier in WSBK).

Yeah, it was $500 more. The seat is green, the Kawasaki is on the plastics, and not on the tank, so you get the Ninja under the clear coat. I think you get a tail seat cowl as well as the passenger seat. There are a few other cosmetic things as well. But if you're going to take off the stickers, I don't think the green seat and cowl are worth $500. I took all the stickers off mine except for the Kawasaki that is under the tanks clear coat.
