Long story short, my grandmother just died and my mom is down cleaning out the estate. My grandfather died in '91 and he had many junk yards and auto repair businesses (he also founded "rent a wreck"). I remember my Grandfather's warehouse as a kid full of 'his treasures' that he kept to himself. So since his death in '91, it has been sitting there untouched.

Soooo...my mom calls me up and says "Hey honey, I found your Grandpa's warehouse and there are 30 motorcycles in there. You want them?" :wtf

She says there are no lights and they are all piled up together, but sent me these two pictures. These bikes are at least from the late 70's and earlier.

Guess a road trip is in order so I can bring these back to my place! :banana

I'll update this thread to see if anything interesting is in there...and maybe ask for some help identifying the bikes.

A blue honda cb350t!....That bike gave me serious wood when I was in high school (I just dated myself)
...and if memory serves...that's a kz 750 twin in front of the zook....cool stuff indeed!
That shit's worth something to someone....just gotta find 'em. :nerd

sheeeeit. all it takes is one of them to be worth a little bit of money and you've paid for gas to go get them.

if you come across any 70s goldwings let me know, especially any with round bars actuating the throttle linkage or gold anodized rims

I think this thread just turned into a wish list! :laughing

The motor looks too small to be a 750. :dunno First I thought 400, then I thought 250. :dunno

What else is there, Dale? The Japanese stuff may well develop some value. Depends what you've got.

I have no clue yet. My mom is clueless as to what is in there and she's not going to pull the pile apart for me LOL

So this will be like buying storage units at auction for me and I won't really know until I get there. Could be worth a bunch...or just a lot of sneezing from the dust :laughing

Depends on what you got and what you are selling them for, but I do like me some old bikes :teeth

i shall not look

I'm not sure either, but if that's a 250 then that tank's gotta hold 9 gallons. :teeth

:confused

spill it Jake...you're a mechanic. Worth the effort?

jake might be referring to the propensity of some people to take on new projects freely while old ones languish.... and he might be one of those people

where is this treasure located?

need help loading the trailer(s)?

turning them into money is either going to take a long time, or you sell it all to some dismantler for 1/3 of what you "could" get

Yup. Too many projects. Do not need new ones, need to finish what I have. Need to sell stuff. Need to simplify my life.

Although, if you find a 1984 Seca XJ-900, I would love to have another. Very sentimental to me. Bike I got hit on.

Thanks for the offer of help :) Bikes are in So Cal (ugh).
I think I will have Dandelion become an Ebay seller :teeth

Definately worth money. How much is the question. When you go down, put together a comprehesive list and post it up here. You might be able to unload some right away. But before you do, make sure you know the true value of any particular bike. Sometimes the true value can surprise you.

I'm envious. Even if they were all junkers, it's just plain cool.

I have an idea for getting page views for the auctions :cool

Also I shouldn't but if you happen to come across a CB750 or something, lemme know.
