I also want to say this: I don't want to see ANYONE lumping Toe or Joe in with Chris. Just because they are/were friends DOESN'T mean they have a responsibility to right their friend's wrongs. If they CHOOSE to confront Chris over this, then that's up to them, and I would applaud them for doing so. Conversely, I will NOT condemn them if they choose NOT to confront him. It's their choice.

The bottom line here is that Chris needs to either make this right, or explain himself. To come on here and say "I don't have to defend myself" is absurd. You are being charged with stealing something from a great friend of this board, so you need to do more than that. If you have a right to the bike, prove it. But the fact that you have ignored Daniela for all this time and have not paid her more than the original $300 (who in their right mind thinks that $300 is a reasonable amount for a brand new bike?!) tells me that you KNOW you're in the wrong, and you need to correct this before you find yourself in court.

Again, do NOT implicate Toe and Joe with this piece of shit. They are NOT "guilty by association". Nor do they have an obligation to correct the situation.

there's no reason why my name should be tarnished over this.

I agree man. I have loaned you sessions on my bikes out at trackdays, not sure if you had the money to repair them if you went down, but its a trust as others have said in the racing/track community.
You sir, have always been a standup guy and hooked it up nicely with great pics at great prices.

As for this danni/chris thing, I hear a lot of "I was forced into this or that.." I disagree. At any point Dani could have went to the police if she felt "conned"
I have never met this Chris fella, but once there is definitive evidence that the bike is rightfully Dani's, I will have no problem getting the bike back for her.

One thought I had we could get a bunch of BARFers together and go to where the bike is being kept and PEACEFULLY distribute information in the form of pamphlets to all of Dove's neighbors, there is various ways to be proactive and put the pressure on Chris without any form of violence being used.
Toe and Joe you guys are booth good people and I think anyone that is on this forum and knows the both of you, places any blame for this on either of your shoulders.

Lets see from Berkeley OK :laughing

Quick Synopsis ?

Will theres a Horse and a Dove involved with a motorcycle.

Whoa. Go for a long ride and look what happens.
To In A Hurry:
I appreciate the support but please do not pick on Joe or Toe here.
Toe's original post and his subsequent one, said things better than I ever could.

The guy just wants to keep something he can't pay for...that simple.....happens all the time. Difference here is that I am still the owner and paying for the bike, the reg fee renewals, insurance premiuims. But I get it. That bike is a chick magnet. I think he lied to his roomies and his GF that it's his and now he HAS to play the game.

Also, he only put $300 down and there is no valid contract.
The only mutual agreements we had were to pay whatever you want until Christmas due in full or return. How hard is that?

All the other murky terms Dove didn't perform to anyway...doesn't matter now. The agreement is over, and in essence it was from day 1, so HalfEvil is right. I was conned from day 1 and should have reacted then without sympathy...but I don't do that to friends of friends.

Can you clear this up for me:

How did you have a title, give him a title, if the bike still has a lien on it?

If the bike is still in your name, and he has it, I don't understand how this isn't criminal.

Likewise.

honestly if you scan through these pages you'll find the answers that you're looking for. that exact question was asked numerous times.

As I understand it, you know Chris very well. Am I to understand from this comment that he does have a criminal record? If you're going to imply something, you may just as well come right out and say it.

it really sucks when you're caught in between 2 friends. :(

there's no reason why my name should be tarnished over this... if you think lowly of me because of this, then perhaps your priorities are off. i have no control over dove or danni.

Joe, I'm sorry to see that you're getting dragged in to this. Absolutely NO ONE should have ANYTHING negative to say about you AT ALL. I've known you for over 3 years, and you're a stand-up, honest and talented guy, and someone that I have a lot of respect for.
IMHO, anyone who thinks you've got anything to do with this has their head so far up their ass they can see their molars. :|

Im in the same boat here as Joe. Dove has helped us out numerous times at the track or getting to the track. He has never done me any wrong nor tried to fuck me over in any way. Im getting numerous phone calls and text messages asking for assistance with information about getting the bike or to help go get the bike back.

I do not want to be involved. I don't feel that I should have to babysit Dove, (simply because I know him), over his bad decisions. He is a adult and needs to handle this situation himself.

Hell, the R6 that I currently have was sold to me under the pretense that I would make monthly payments as fast as possible. work has been slow and I havent had the money to make payments as often as id like. but I dont ignore the seller, and I do my best to keep him in the loop. If he were to ask me for the bike back because he is unhappy of the rate of my payments I would return the bike to him in the condition of how I got it or I would pay it off. simple as that.

I dont know the whole story as to why dove has not or did not make payments. Nor do I know the full extent of the communication between Dani and Dove. I can understand if Dove is broke or whatever and cant make payments and feels that the bike is too good of a deal to just give back. But if you cant pay for it and the seller wants their money or the bike back...well one of the two needs to happen.

Tomas, like I said to Joe, I'm sorry as hell to see your name getting dragged in to this. You are NOT responsible for Chris in any way, shape, manner or form. I respect that you have empathy for a friend, and that you've got the innate honesty to straight up say that the bike needs to be paid for or returned.
And again- anyone thinking this situation somehow reflects poorly on YOU is looking at their molars via their ass.

Uh, can someone please give me a quick synopsis of the last 24 pages?

As I understand it, back in August, Dani was selling a new R6. Chris Dove went out to her farm, gave her a $300 deposit, was trying to talk her into a reduced price. While she went to do some chores and think about it, he was ostensibly waiting, playing with his dog. In actuality, he loaded the bike onto his bumper hauler, took the title, and left. After multiple phone conversations and e-mails, Dani took Chris' word for it that he was a good guy, he'd make payments as he was able, but the bike would be paid off by Christmas.
To date, he's paid $300, when pressed for money, has threatened to burn the bike and drop the charred remains off at her farm, as well as being aggro and threatening to her.
He posted early on, saying essentially that he did nothing wrong, and wasn't going to defend himself. He's since deleted that post. He hasn't posted since.
I've PM'd him, and offered to help him resolve the situation & come pick up the bike and get it back to Dani (as I'm sure many others have).
He's not responded to anyone, to my knowledge.
I've been told by others who know him that he has no job, no money, and is basically couch-surfing at this point, so where the bike is, I have no idea. Someone said they thought the bike was his only form of transportation at this point. I don't know if that's the case.
There have been multiple offers from a LOT of barfers willing to go pick it up.
That's pretty much the Clif Notes, I think...

Yup, that's what you told me @ OFG's this afternoon. :|

Wonder how this is going to pan out? Dani's a trooper for keeping her relative cool through all this. :thumbup
