I gotta give it to Lorenzo this year, cause he's going to have a hell of a defending title run this year.

He's got a quick teammate he needs to make sure he finishes ahead of, on top of four factory Honda's fielding HRC's title blitz for the last 800cc hurrah. Two of those factory Honda's are in a pretty intense competition on their own, which means Lorenzo needs to find a way to split or bug those two while they keep bringing the best out of one another.

That left shoulder...

Can't wait to see tomorrow's race for a number of reasons; can Pedrosa do something about pacing his shoulder while staying in contention? Can Stoner finally get a win in Jerez? Can Lorenzo keep the Honda's in check? Will Spies be another problem for Lorenzo?

At one point in Stoner's pole lap, even Julian Ryder had to comment:
THAT is a sector from the gods!

Come on Spies! Don't jack up the first lap, plz earn podium.

Faaaaaaaak. :shocker

Added one for ya, above,

Stoner is the 1 hes bike is easy to ride and hes dmn fast! infact let me say this, hes this years champion, i grew up watching gp, this is a solid start and will go to the end.

Did Casey go down during QP? Title shot on Motogp.com is of a Honda in the gravel trap surrounded by corner workers.

Nope, he didn't go down, he went in too hot, picked the bike up, rode it out and then set it down, literally, when he was at the air fence. Not a crash. Dude is a fucking beast. Maybe the GOAT.:x:laughing

Looking at the lap times, it sure seems like he has the race pace. It's going to be a great race.

Half of BARF already said this before the first race ever started :laughing
i dont know how long you been watching motogp but its a brave thing to say.if yamaha does tune their bike to get that extra power and exit corner they need, Spies is up for it and of curse the defending champion, besides, pedrosa deserves it more than anyone, did any one say that? if yes ill paypal you buck.:rofl

What do you mean Pedro and Lorezno deserve it more? Whoever gets the most out of their bike that day (and all season long) is the one who deserves it.

Like has been said many, many times, I think Stoner will win it all this year and the battle will be for 2nd.

Overall pick: Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedro though I hope Rossi gets that Duc and his shoulder sorted out to really compete. Would love to see Spies up there too.

Actually really interested in why Lorenzo "deserves" it. He's on arguably the best or second best bike there is that he didn't need to develop or "fix" when he got on it. He won the title last year after two of the top three guys crashed out with injuries. He is great, but I don't see how he deserves it.

Then you have Stoner who was on a beast of a bike that he made perform when nobody else could. Won a championship, won a lot of races, now is on arguably the best bike out there and so far, in testing and the one race, is going to be at the front on a consistent basis. On a less than ideal bike was fast and winning. On the best bike, might just completely dominate.

Then Rossi. Well we all know what Rossi has done and on different bikes.

Then Lorenzo. Not really sure what he has accomplished other than being very consistent and fast last year.

Spies, amazing talent. We know about his AMA accomplishments, WSBK title in his rookie year. Proved himself last year on the Yamaha. He deserves that factory bike this year, without a doubt. That has been earned.

But Lorenzo deserving the title this year? Why?

And Pedro, Honda's golden boy who hasn't really accomplished much for them? Deserving of anything? How so?

Pedrosa deserves one god damn year on a bike without being held back by injury, which he has never had. He has ridden the Honda better than anyone since Rossi was on it, before of course Stoner got on it, no disrespect to Hayden.

and of course breaking the record for most points in a single season while only finishing off the podium once, and those pesky nine wins lol

It DOES help if the whole bike was designed for you. ;)
