The author of this rag is full of shit. In the heyday of global warming alarmism the scientists were split 60:40, a few years later, once the warming failed to materialize and the glaciers in the Himalayas failed to melt it was more like 40:60, now it's more like 70:30 with 70% not buying the "man made warming" BS any more. Especially since the new statistical data no longer supports it.

BTW, during the "global cooling" scare of the 70s the supposed cause of it was "greenhouse effect" and CO2 emissions. Then, once the trend reversed it became the cause of the "warming". Now, that the trend reversed once again, it's the cause of "climate change".

May be it's time to accept the truth, that the climate on this miserable little planet by and large depends on solar activity and correlates exceptionally well with solar activity cycles? So do famine, spikes in diseases and wars. A swiss astronomer came up with this theory almost a 100 years ago, and it explains the climate change much better than any of the alarmist theories. To bad, it's not "sexy" enough and completely useless for alarmism, protests, new bullshit taxes and politics.

You forgot about the construction of the facility. The Solyndra project kept a lot of union craftsmen working. IIRC it had quite a few plumbers from my local working there. And no........that doesn't justify $500,000,000

The observable science to support evolution is overwhelmingly large. I suppose the parallel is similar. If you say Global Warming does not exist, you're in the some batshit retard category as Palin. The science is overwhelming. Now if you say that Global Warming is a natural Climate event that man has little effect on, well... That's a tough argument to win on both sides. Especially because the pro-man made change argument is so full of conmen who are just trying to make a buck off fear and envirodouchesbags that want to embrace all kinds of stupid and ineffective policy because it makes them FEEL good like they're doing the right thing.

climate would be changing even if humans didnt exist on earth. thats what climates do over time yo.

I appreciate those ones, at least in light of the others. Even though I don't like what they do to it, I appreciate that they are trying to adapt and move with the times at least a little. I wonder if we will see natural selection of religions based on how well they adapt? :teeth

That said, the climate has changed to plenty of things that would kill us in the course of the earth's history. Brimstone, sulfur and a total lack of oxygen was at one time All-Natural, but I don't want to live in it.

Climate change has been going on forever. Man may have an affect, but we are not the cause.


One big volcano or asteroid hit will fix it.
 
So how about now? We've had 4 years of drought and it was 80 freaking degrees in the EB yesterday. It's February 15th.

I always hate when people bring up that something happened before, that means a similar event now can't be caused by something else


Wildfires existed millions of years before humans did, that means no human could have caused one now
 
It's not human-caused, it's part of the natural cycle *and* human influenced, somewhere between 99:1 and 1:99.

Climate changes from the moment earth was born. Do we contribute to it? To some degree, yes. But to run around screaming it's all our fault is retarded.
 
Just as silly is throwing up your arms and thinking that nothing can be done. The goal is to slow the change as much as we can while we we figure out how to live with these changes.
