FYI Bell sizing is on the way too big side imo.

I recently ordered and recieved a Bell Revolver to keep as a spare for hookers. I ordered the XS cuz it's the smallest they make and the size chart says its a 53-54 like my Scorpian XS. My Scorpian fits me great. Too tight for the first month. Just right, tight, super perfect snug, on its 4th year now. I got that size cuz I always give chickys my Scoprian as it fits them well. The brand new Bell is way too big. Would fit like a small or medium Scorpian or Shoei RFxxx.
Will see if I have to return it or if they can give me XXS padding from a different model but I dunno if they use the same size shell for multiple sizes like most other cheapy's.

HA! You know everyone says that when they see my helmets or I try stuff on at the store. I'm 6'5 and proporitonal. I think most people wear hobby specific clothing thats way too big.

No dude, xs helmet = damn small head especially on someone who is 6'5"!

This is how the phrase "try before you buy" came about.

Pertaining to call girls, that is.

Only one store had hooker priced spares in stock and the quality on them was subpar for my standards... I get higher end call girls. Everything else is alright on this. Its a little heavy but the padding is good enough and the little buttons and belts work surprisngly well. Another store could get this model for me but for the full retail. They wouldn't meet me halfway to online price.
I tried, I don't feel bad.

If the retailer won't help you, give Bell a call direct. They have offices in the area - Santa Cruz, if I remember corerctly. They may be able to swap out pads thru customer service or something. They're trying to re-capture market segment, and fighting some of the cheapo Korean / Chinese comapies.

Every helmet manufacturer is a little different. There really aren't any "standards". And head shape is a huge factor in choosing a helmet. For instance, I use a Shoei XL. But there's no way in hell I could ever use an Arai in any size. It's shaped differently and while it might seem that it's too small, it' really that it's shaped the wrong way.

I would NEVER buy a helmet online without first trying on the identical helmet in person. and even then, I likely wouldn't do it as there can be differences between helmets of the same brand, model, and size.

Same with boots, gloves, and other gear.

And yea, an XS helmet that fits properly on someone who's 6'5" is kinda different. :twofinger

I can't wear anything from Arai (but I havn't tried in a few years). An RF900 and 1000 fit me perfectly. The Scorpian fits me very well. I didn't get a chance to try on the Bell but read it was for round heads and the quality is superb for the $ on this one. I think it'll be too big for whoever has to use it though. I don't thinks it's just shaped a little different. I think the size is way too large. I'll be getting a new Shoei for myself soon but wanna try on their models and sizes. Shoei lifer cuz it fits great and they were AMAZING at taking care of me one time. Promised I'd stick with them for life for that kinda service.
I dunno what you dudes are talking about. Lotsa dudes were blown away when I told them I wear an XS. They tried mine on and it fit fine. Tighter than thiers but fine. Still think most people get shoes and helmets that are too big.

+1

i wear a medium in the bell revolver and i like my helmets tight.

BTW..that helmet is loud as fuck. even with ear plugs. just letting you know before you go through the hassle of exchanging and shit.

This is exactly what I would do. BTW, Bell-Easton moved to Scotts Valley some time ago. They don't just have inventory on hand so I would measure the circumference of your melon and call their support with purchased model numbers and see if they can have replacement pads shipped.

Oh and IME every helmet mfg sizing is different just like shoes. I had to go bonus rounds with AGV support to get the correct pads.

I learned I have to try a lid on. My size is all over the place. L in HJC Med in AGV M-S in soumy and S in the cycle gear brand.

Zactly, either try it first or get it from a 'hassle free' return/exchang vendor if buying online...
