Hi guys, I'm looking to get some new gears like helmets and suit... Nothing much in Berkeley anymore.. Any idea where I can get a good selection in San Jose? maybe

"Gear" used in this sense, like "clothing", is already plural. Don't say "gears" unless you are talking about components of a machine.

Road rider in san jose. They have a big sale going on right now. You can pick up one piece race suit from alpinestar for 445. That's a steal considering that suit goes for 800+.

+1 for Road Rider. Roxie definitely knows her stuff. I was just there this morning with my buddy who bought a new Shoei Neotec. I was really hoping the Neotec would fit me, but my head is just too damned oval so I'm SOL.

Note to helmet mfgrs -- not everyone has a round head. :mad
 
Hi, I was the one who sold your buddy the helmet. Sorry we couldn't get a good fit for you. The next time I see the shoei rep I'll ask about the fitment issue:thumbup

Yeah, helmets are too round these days. It seemed like Arai used to make a helmet for every head, but no longer. You might still be able to find Arai Profiles at Helmet City in Oakland. They mostly sell online, but the have some discounted items in their office in Oakland where you can try them on.
