MOTOGP 2012 Final Preseason IRTA test, Jerez. 3/23-3/25

Just watched the Stoner interview on Motogp, he says they went race distance on the soft, and he was going faster towards the end of the tire's life.

Somebody will post it so: Dry Sac is a type of Spanish sherry. Not sure why they needed to name a corner after it but...

That region of spain makes the grapes for the sherry. Its a local thing. Andalusia is quite beautiful.

Which of course means that really shouldnt be considered a soft tire to begin with.

Depending on the track temp, that isn't necessarily true. Emmett was saying it was windy and cloudy all day, more so at the end of the day.

To give a little perspective, the track temp today was 20c, in the race last year, when it was raining, it was 15.

You guys are my twit feed..so keep it coming. :teeth

Stoner is frustrated. Said one of the things he wanted to get done here was work on fixing the chatter problem he'd had. But now he's not getting chatter. So can't work to fix it.

haha. what a thing to have to complain about.

Instead of first world problems, Casey has first place problems.

Kinda of a legit complaint, cause now he's wondering what tracks it'll appear, kinda like yamaha in 2006. Mystery chatter not good for a title run

Yeah but unlike some other people, Casey can ride through front end problems and still win. :rofl

PS: I know, that was a low blow, I just had to take it though.

Not necessarily. You could get more tearing on harder rubber from sliding more, and less compliance. "Cold tears" can come with the tire not warming up enough, too. And with cold track temps, that may be why the soft worked just fine.

New prediction....

If Rossi doesn't get the duc to work, Rossi leaves to guesenie Honda gets a factory ride.

He talked alot of trash about Honda, They may not want to give him a bike. I would say a better bet is he forms his own team with JB and gets a Yamaha. He finishes out his career there, wins a few races and then runs the team with JB.

Or he goes and terrorizes Max WSBK.

I would have said that very same thing but.... To many people would want to throw money at him. Meaning there wouldnt be anyone except repsol Honda and yam that wouldnt want him. He's going to get paid mountains of money no matter how slow he gets.
