The wife and i spent the day laughing and crying (her not me HAHA) telling stories of this nutty little cat.
 
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm sorry for your loss - these guys are family members and this unconditional love for and from a pet takes time to recover from.

Now as far as him running the place I think he will have to deal with this old lady first. Her name is Angel and was just shy of 21 years when she passed in 06. She was born without one of her eyes and was everyone's friend!!!
 
She does have seniority.

I miss my boyz. 2+ months of work up here on the Delta, every day, away from home, I can't see my Wallace & Gromit and I even sent my Lab pup Stu off to Boot Camp for a couple months. There isn't even a friendly kitteh in this neighborhood to pet and make friends with here in San Ramon where I'm staying. WTF!
 
I present Tom the Cat. also known as Don Tomas and Sir Thomas, Prince Kitty.

He used my jacket as a blanket and was irritated and my using the flash on my phone :laughing I was adopted by HIM. He is my BF's I had to win over his love and affection to be accepted into his club. Now I dont have to beg for his attention he demands it of when when HE wants it. :)
