Meet time: Sun, 9AM, KSU 9:30AM Sharp! (Don't be late!!)

Weather: Sun makes it a Mellow Group Ride....rain turns this into a True Grit ride.

Planned stop: Crash Site (Will make a stop at the crash site for about 25 mins.)

Mellow = Speed Limit ONLY today. If you can't ride below the limit, this isn't for you. Respect Gary, keep it mellow.

  • Arrive with a full tank of gas. We are meeting at a gas station. Easy fill up there.
  • Make sure your bike is in good operating condition.
  • As usual we will break into groups depending on who shows up (to accommodate varying skill levels) if necessary. Everyone is expected to ride within their comfort level.
  • Safety is our priority.
  • Experienced riders who wants to ride a mellow pace are always welcome.
  • Volunteers for lead and sweep always welcome and appreciated.
  • We will be making 1 planned stop(s).
  • All riding levels are welcome, Mellow pace required. (If you have to speed, this ride isn't for you.) PM or post if you have concerns.
  • If you arrive after the pre ride speech, you must ride in the last group until the first rest stop.
  • No 'in route arrivals'. Meet at start point. Don't join in off the side of the road. You will be asked to leave if you do.

Route: (approx 43 miles, 1.5 hours seat time + pit stop(s) + Gary time)

Is this the "official" commemorative/memorial ride? I never met Gary but I got nothing but respect and heartfelt sympathy for a fallen rider. I want to go on a memorial ride but I want to go to the "official" one

No, not a official one. I don't know of a official ride yet... just the gathering at the beach, thats the family's planning.

This is just a group to ride to the event on the beach. Mellow.... safe n slow ride there.

Subscribed for now. With baby on the way any day today I will wait till 6/10 to see how things are. But surely want to make it to this one
 
I'll just be coming back from England, but if I can make it, I'm there!
 
I will try to make it... hopefully I still have my bike by then. If not probably meet you guys there at the park in my cage :thumbup

I knew our farewell ride for you wouldn't be your last ride :thumbup

I'd offer you my back seat, but don't think I'll be making this ride since I'm helping out with the logistics. :angel

By the way guys, parking at Pescadero State Park will be very tight. We are planning to park bikes very neatly next to each other. So if you don't plan on staying the whole time, wait and park near the outside so you aren't blocked in.
