The "cause" here is proper childhood nutrition. If that's political, what isn't? Do you think anyone would be raising a stink if the photo showed adults in uniform eating normal balanced meals, to promote that cause?

No, it's just because female breasts are involved. The photo didn't even show nipples. When you've got enough vague rules, it's not hard to find a reason to reprimand almost anyone. The military needs to get over the fact that women have parts.

No, nobody would raise a "stink" but the service member could/would still be prosecuted if they didn't have authorization.

The uniform issue aside, the photo is in bad taste because it sexualizes breastfeeding (as evidenced by many comments in this thread).:rolleyes

And who the hell puts babies in leopard print outfits?:wtf

It's only sexualized because many of us don't see hot women who eat balanced meals on a regular basis.

There are also laws against fraternization amongst individuals in the military so what is your point? Laws are and will be applied by the military when violations are clear and present as in the topic at hand.


However breast feeding your child is not mentioned in the UCMJ...

nice, eh? .......at worst it's being out of uniform and I don't think that flies when the need of the child to feed is envisioned.

According to some here apparently the UCMJ can be ignored by whomever deems it offensive and oh by the way those same folks then want to hang a couple ladies for feeding their kids. :thumbdown

The issue isn't the breastfeeding it is the violation of the codes of conduct by them not talking to their superiors and getting a okay for these pictures from the chain of command while on duty. Again if you want protection for individuality and a bending of the rules well then don't join the military.

Why do you find their action of feeding their children the WAY NATURE intended so disgusting? So people can stick their dicks in each others butts in a foxhole (an unnatural act) and thats ok, but feeding a child using the tools nature provided and that's some horrific offense to you?

LOL - Okay man I get it you're trolling for a response. It doesn't matter to me in the grand scheme of things but these ladies were in the wrong and that is why the military is upset with their actions.

They acted without informing their superiors while on duty and in uniform so this is why the military has an issue with these photos. Add to the above that these photos imply that the military has a stance on whatever issue they were attempting to promote (be it positive or not) because they were in uniform and that is another reason why their superiors frowned upon their actions. However I can see that you are more intent with putting words in my mouth and ignoring any actual rebuttals to your arguments as to why they were in violation of the military rules they swore to uphold and abide by when they join the military.

Continue on trolling away and making shit up to make it seem as if you can actually form a reasonable and logical response.

Well I think first you have to enlist, or finish school and try for a commission. :thumbup

Then seek out your favorite set of same sex consenting buns, video tape it and send it to your commanding officer and YouTube.

Then wait for the decision.
