Cars parking in Motorcycle spots at Valley Fair Malll

Galleria parking security are a holes I work in the mall and have a stack of tickets. They warned me now that they will tow me if I get another. They provide ZERO motorcycle parking

Do they ticket you for parking in full-size car spots?
And is it really a ticket? Do you have to pay them money at some point, or is it more of a threatening / informational note?

AFAIK, since they are not a "Regulatory Agency" it is a formal notice that the next violation will result in a tow.

fwiw: since they offer no parking for motos. Be a dick and take up a full spot. :thumbup

That is a real chicken shit ticket - and I'm a retired P.E.O. - I would fight that. :thumbup

Whoa, when did that happen? Could explain why I haven't seen you around.

Were you parked next to a handicapped parking spot? Because that's the only reason I can see for getting that ticket. A handicapped spot sometimes needs a space next to it for a ramp to come out of.

FYI, this isn't me, I'm still practicing the basics on local streets away from traffic. It just struck me as odd that they would ticket anybody for filling up white space.

If I remember correctly, this was the third row of parking from the entrance (1st is next to the concrete wall, etc.) on the flip side of the handicapped spots that face the entrance in row two.

I retired at the end of July. Three years of that job really burned me out. I loved working in the parks department for twenty years though, but they didn't have an opening for me to come back - so I retired.

I agree. It's not crosshatched so not part of the handicap spot. The only clue that it may not be a valid parking spot is that it's too small for a car... but on the other hand it's not too small for a motorcycle so that's a super lame excuse for ticketing. Not to mention parking there harms absolutely nothing.

It's what hairdressers aspire to. Except right now, they drive 280Z Datsuns.

Or new Mini Coopers.

I drive a new mini.... and I'm definitely not a hair dresser :x

Hey, I drive a Mini. :twofinger

'Course it helps that it's a works car. And anyway, the guy who cuts my hair (I suppose he could be called a hair dresser) prefers 'Vettes and large four wheel drive trucks.

Mine's a Works too! I've yet to see another JCW on the road... just a bunch of S's at the best.

Taking up a full spot is not a dick move.

Yea, they're not too common. Most of the rest of the driving population don't even know they exist. Even many Mini owners know nothing about them. They aren't the fastest or the quickest cars out there, but the fun factor is phenomenal.

How about you visit that Roseville mall or any other mom-moto friendly place and go with lots of riding buddies. Each of you take up a whole spot to yourself and then see if they notice. It's perfectly legal, it'll just annoy everyone looking for space suggesting you fit multiple to a single spot.

When signs are put up to indicate a moto only parking spot, there should be the warning of a fine on it as well.

Or the facility should simply install some steel posts in the middle of the line separating the spots to prevent cars from pulling in.

Both are easy to do, though the latter is likely more effective.

If it's a private lot, how can they issue fines?

When a private company creates motorcycle spots, I doubt they're doing it out of generosity. They're doing it to fit more vehicles (of all types) in their lot.

A rider taking up a full spot is exactly what they wanted to avoid. So yeah, I think it's a dick move, unless you're genuinely afraid of being unseen.

I think of a hair dresser as a chest of drawers that psychopaths keep their trophies in.

"i like my women like i like my coffee... ground up and stored in the freezer."

back on-topic: i live right near VF/SR, girfriend works @ VF, and i'm pretty sure i've seen cars take those spots more than i've been able to park there myself.

the gf got a warning notice for parking her scooter in a hashmark- to make sure she doesn't get a ticket, i make it a point to complain to mall security every time i see what's in the OP's pic.

if they have time to parking-enforce a 50cc honda that's tucked in the back corner, then they've got time for these benzes, jags, and bmws.

Unless security are the ones parking in the moto spots. :wtf

if the game's that rigged, then there ain't shit you can do.

if not- all we have to do is be so persistent and annoying that employees would rather enforce proper parking than deal with us. :teeth
