I wanted to consult an attorney before proceeding.

Thanks for this tip, I think I'll give her office a call to fight my $700 ticket :shocker. 91 in a 65, in a car no less.

thx for the recs. will check them out!

it's a sliding scale depending on the courthouse. SF is $200. fremont court house $450.

somebody wasn't flirting sufficiently ? or female LEO was straight? :cool

just couldn't wait until the next track day?

hard to flirt when the LEO is yelling at you and waving his hands in the air, and called for 2 units for back up. just saying.

How is that a 2 pointer? I thought only 100+ is a two point infraction? Unless you were cited under 2 sections for 2x1 point infractions?

scott - I'm a gal. LEO = boy. LEO was visibly agitated so no :leghump

Sherry gendleman,
What is it with these attorneys not capitalizing their last names? Is this the new ESQ thing?
If it is your first offense, here is the downside:
(1) Upon a first conviction of a violation of this subdivision, by
a fine of not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500). The court may
also suspend the privilege of the person to operate a motor vehicle
for a period not to exceed 30 days pursuant to Section 13200.5.
This does not include possible additional insurance costs. You can weigh your options with the attorney fees. I like and trust Scotty. He is very straight forward. I don't know Sherry, so I can't speak for, nor against her.

I think the law was amended b/c that citation is from 2005. current first timers are being fined $875.

Holy shit jackie didn't realize that was you what's up!!!! Hope all is going good with you

Aside from the ticket lol

see page 41/193 of the 2012 Uniform Bail and Penalty Schedules $880 + 2 pts. The "fine" is $200; $680 in added assesments and fees :thumbup

OP, GL with your ticket.
The Bail & Penalty Schedules numbers are what you get in the mail. What I posted is the statute with the maximum penalties. It does not included all the scam fees. I did not add that in for you. You could go to court and pay less than the Penalty Schedule, or you could go to court and pay the maximum and lose your driving privilege. Having an attorney doesn't guarantee a darn thing.
Page vi of the bail and penalty whack-a-moto.
E.The“Total Bail” amount indicated includes the base bail and those “additional penalties” ........

Trial was yesterday. My infraction was dismissed.

I didn't go to court physically. My attorney handled everything.

So who did you use?

Good PR for the winning attorney.
