Fo' realz. I heard good things, went there and was massively underwhelmed. I won't be going back. It was 100% mediocre. It wasn't bad, per se, just not good. Srsly, the CJ's near me is on par with Habit, tho I've only been to one. Maybe just the one I went to sucks.

The Habit in WC (downtown) is bleh. 5 guys or In/Out smashes them.

Go to Mo's in Campbell, Acme Burger in SF or Naglee Garage in San Jose for a real hamburger that aren't shipped frozen and made on site.

I thought ACME is just a bread shop... I just looked up Naglee Garage and their burgers look bomb. Bookmarked.

I live in Hayward and I live near Val's and used to eat there a lot until a friend hipped me to Buddy's Bites and Brews down on Heperian. The owner worked for Buffalo Bills for a long time and used that as a model for his restaurant. The difference between his place and Val's is that he has these sauces for the burgers that really make the burger stand out. Its not just the old ketchup and mustard burger. I'd definately give Buddy's a try for the burger, for the brew and they do a really fun trivia night on weds!

I been to buddy's twice. I haven't tried their burger yet though... I think their food is ok and I know where to get better beer than there. So, I don't go to Buddy's that often. I know the people from Drakes like hanging out there. I really like Drakes. Buffalo Bills is cool, lots of hot women that work there( I see that model didn't get transfer over. ) but Buffalo Bill's beer suck. I only like the Blueberry Oatmeal Stout from there... I just go to The Bistro for some good beer.

What promoted me to start this thread because I just saw on the news what is the "Number 1 burrito in America" and it's La Taqueria on Mission in San Francisco. I just went there today and I thought it was ok... I think La Cumbre down the street is better.
