What will it take to convince you of climate change?

You mean it’s warmer closer to the equator?

They will always be new records. There were new high and low temps since the earth was formed.

While the climate is changing, it always has and so have people yet I have yet to hear that we should do something about the changes that according to evolution theory, says humans came from apes. Why isn't there some movement to get us back to being apes since apes didn't create any conditions leading to climate change? Yeah, rediculous but none less so than most arguments about climate change.

The climate change movement is possible only because a few people got a larger number to accept that the foundation of science now a consensus instead of fact. That was a subtle but important change which allowed certain interests to inject emotion and money into arguments to sway scientists to agree to things they otherwise never would.

From nuclear weapons to climate change to all other things that can destroy, all were created or the means to make them were created by scientists so why not just eliminate all scientists and solve the problem that way?

Not necessarily. There is snow year round on one place along the Equator!
And Ecuador has at least 3 distinct temperature zones :x

You’ve been posting some pretty decent stuff lately in other areas of the forum. I don’t even know where to start with this train wreck of a post, though. Wow....

Addressing the current topic, I wish that people would stop pointing to a single storm or extremely hot or cold day as “proof” that man is having an influence on climate change. Individual events are meaningless. What isn’t meaningless are the clear trends in climate data. Yes, the climate changes cyclically over time, but it doesn’t take a genius to look at the data and come to the conclusion that the rate of change has increased significantly in recent times.

We didn’t come from apes. Apes are our cousins on the evolutionary tree. We are included in the family of ‘the Great apes’ which includes gorillas, chimps, orangutans, and bonobo. I’d be happy to discuss evolution more if you’d like.

Evolution doesn’t stop. At some point in the distant past all the great apes shared a common ancestor. So the correct view would be that we along with the other great apes came from the same progenitor. It may or may not have been considered a great ape.

thanks for posting that. I agree. And to follow: in addition to focusing on historic temperature trends, it is also important to measure what exactly is changing in the environment (certain molecules, pH, etc) so as to possibly attribute those measurable changes to a source.

Thats not it and few people deny the climate is changing. If you listen to reports about record temps, often the last record was long ago, yet, see anyone claiming it was climate change then?

The biggest reason there is an effort to pin climate change to a specific source, pre-determined of course, is because there is a lot of money to be made doing it. The epiphaney of the wealthy involved in carbon credits is really something. Company A buys carbon credits so it can spew pollution while Company B does less and someone calls it carbon neutral. The money sure isn't.:rofl

Remove the money out of the climate change blame game and it would cease to exist.

I asked you before, and you ignored me: Who is making all this money off global warming, and does it compare at all to the money being made by purposefully denying climate change?
I mean, the petro-chemical business makes billions in profit every year and are the major contributors to not only pollution, but climate changer deniers.
