Right on! You are going to love it. Since you are starting in Wellington, you may want to ask the rental place for some tie downs for the ferry, just to be safe. Also, if you are heading down Blenheim way, there's a nice coastal road that turns to hard pack dirt that's really pretty. And remember, curb is on your left and look right. Safe and fun travels:ride

Edit: I almost forgot, there's a BARF'er down there too: Kiwi Vagabond, nice guy, had a couple of beers with him.

I've been to Melbourne & Sydney (business) and Mtn bike'ed the Blue Hills west of Sydney.
No moto time down there tho.

My baggage with all my gear except helmet was lost. It's now been found. I had a great day with my friend Bruce in Melbourne. I'm on the tarmac heading to Wellington now. :banana
