So, in short, I have noticed that when I turn my ignition on and/or start the bike, the headlight does not come on. The other day, I decided to mess with it a little bit, and found that it seems like the starter button wiggles and causes the light to go out. So, if the headlight is out, and I, barely, push the starter button in, the light comes on. Rode to work, yesterday, and had no problems.

Does this make sense to anyone? Unfortunately, I don't know about the electrical system of the bike.

Note: when the low beam is not on, the high beam will not turn on either.

THanks in advance.

The starter switch disconnects the headlight relay power lead when it's depressed; This is to cut the headlights when the starter motor is spinning, to maximise the power available to it.

So, it sounds like the starter switch has a bad connection?

Sounds good! Thanks!

Yep. Clean the contacts and inspect them for pitting. If necessary, simply replace the switch. But often, a good cleaning it all it takes.
