Time to put some new rubber on my bike. What are the pros and cons of 180 vs 190? Besides having a bigger footprint.

OEM size for my bike is 190/50/17 with a 180/55/17 alternative.

get a 190/55-17, the 190/50-17 your bike turns like a brick, the 55 profile is way better.

Call Brian. Shawn knows alot about the Dunlop product as well, as he fits much of the AFM stuff AND AMA stuff at the races.

The big question is: which tire.

Call Brian...you won't be bummed.

screw the 190-180 debate. get a take off and try it and see if you even like the feel of a 180 before dropping coin on a brand new one. then decide if you like it. That is what I was going to do for my next Track day. problem is my bike is destroyed so no next track day.:mad

For bikes with a rear 6x17" rim that come stock with a 190/50/17 size tire...

The taller sidewall on the new/optional 190/55/17 and 190/60/17 size tires give you the quicker turn feeling that 180/55/17 size tire provides.

180's are less expensive than 190's and can be used on 6" rims.
