2001 Honda CBR 929 priced to sell at $500.
Includes front and read Pitbull stands. Factory service manual. 4 quarts of oil.
Bike has Yosh slip on pipe. Power Commander. Scott's steering damper. GP style shifting.
Bike runs strong, with less than 40,000 miles on it.
The bad:
Bike has a salvaged title. I am the 2nd owner. The original owner was an old man who after owning it for only a year, dropped it in a parking lot. And when it fell on it's side the stator cover cracked, which in turn caused a small crack in the engine case. That, and the resulting scratches on the body work totaled it. I asked the original owner to buy it back from the insurance company, so he could sell it to me. I had a welder weld the small crack in the engine block, bought a new stator cover, and the thing has run like a champ ever since. I used black rattle can spray paint to black out all the body work, and polished a couple spots on the frame where the original owner's knees had scuffed the paint.
I have lightly dropped the bike once on each side (20 years later, now I'm the old man). And the passenger seat is weathered and torn. Old rattle can paint is wearing thin in some spots.
Also, while the rear running lights still work, the break lights are not coming on. That, or they might be stuck in the on position. Or there may be a fuse or a loose connection somewhere.
