*2004* Why is it that at least half of all Ducati riders can't ride for chit?

The fastest guy I ever had the pleasure to ride with, was Don. The Manager of Modesto Ducati. So rack up one for the Ducati riders :thumbup

I'm betting Moike would be flat amazing as he rides his Ducati.
Anyone here ride with him?

Amazing bikes, ridden by many clueless dingbats. But to be fair I've seen armor-all on the tires of all brand of bikes tho lol. (mostly in the summer)

I started out riding a duck and I'm as fast as I need to be. :twofinger

well what are you doing in a slow groop if you are so fast?
and not all ducatis are expensive. like on old 748, 996, 915 are around 4 - 6k now. thas not that bad and a used 848 around 10k.

I'm not trying to start a flame war, or hate on Ducati riders here, I'm just telling it how it is. I've been to 7 trackdays in the last few months and I see so many people on Ducatis who can't ride for shit. They can't hold a line, go so freakin slow and are so unpredicatble. To me, a Ducati is like the Ferrari of bikes. You shouldn't have one unless you REALLY know what you're doing. Why do so many posers go out and buy these expensive bikes, only to ride them like old women? It makes the rest of the Ducati guys who really know what they're doing look bad. Is it ego? Extra money? Stupidity? Someone please fill me in here.

He wrote that in 2004 and no longer rides.

It's true and Ducatis are really nice girl bikes.

848s are proper kickass sportbikes. God, what great bikes all around. When my race SV grew up it wanted to be an 848.

cuz like, my honda rides and handles better than my monster. I throw the monster in a turn and it doesnt wanna turn.. you really have to work hard on a ducati to make it do something as simple as turning... :|

the ducati does do really well when I park it outside Starbucks and its all posing n stuff.. :ride

My M900 is the same way. However, my M696 turns as easy as any race-replica I've ridden. All you have to do is think about the line you want and it sticks to it easily. You should demo one of the newer models. The suspension and geometry is miles ahead of the older style Monsters.
