2011 Cadillac CTS-V Stolen 8.5.26

After this is resolved, I’d install a secret switch somewhere to thwart any thieves.

JUST FYI IT WAS NOT ME I WANT A 4 DOOR :twofinger

But really, that fucking SUCKS. Hope you get it back somehow and get made whole. That's a forever car.

what in the actual fuck?!?!

what does law enforcement say? doubt it’s random. or that the perp vehicle is traceable. have you checked your video for their recon in the days prior? it’s possible they were less careful when they scoped out the ‘what’ and ‘where’ before they made their move.

is a flock right up the street but if they don't have a front LP
Interesting "use case" for front LP and cameras.
Also, any idea what make / model the white car is?
The white car obviously seems to be a Subaru the big Legacy wagon. Within 7 to 5, 3 years recent ( don't think 1 year old).

heard that such vehicles are also stolen, soo...

if you have the exact time they were next to your house it would stand to reason 3 ‘not normal’ cellphones were connected to the tower in your neighborhood at that exact time too… they arrived and left together I bet… so maybe for once the cops can actually idk use technology to help catch these assholes? (I’ll assume for a few seconds if the thieves were smart they discarded your plates asap so floc can’t be used to trace where they went with the car after Palo Alto - but maybe not too right? But I doubt they turned off much less threw away their cell phones?)

That is fine but what happens if it mis fires and Dennis is impaled?
you set it on a switch so its only active when he isn't in the car. or you get the eletrocuting car alarm ala Robocop movie.

Can't believe they used the first car to push your car and get away. After watching that video I just don't know what to say other than fuck thieves.

Are the preliminary/concept garage drawings ready for viewing? How long for blueprints? I'll give Shone at SR Freeeman a heads up, he's always busy.

Yes, thieving sucks big time. This brings back sad memories. I often reminess about my grandparents small coin collection that I was given as a young man that the burglars took. I wasn't smart enough to secure them, but they found my not so secret hidyhole under my bed. They also took some of my favorite albums. Basically all my priceless processions as a poor college student. Most things can be replaced with the exception of treasured keepsakes.

@littlebeast my daughters are doing that. They are all in on Papa’s baby.

@Dmitriy good idea. I will let the kiddos know about that.

The Mrs made a flyer with info and walked door to door asking for any video.

The fam has stepped up and here I am leaving to go ride for 4 days. I am a lucky man.

Wow this sucks. Does seem more than a coincidence that shortly after taking it to multiple shops it's stolen. Hope the thieves get caught and punished.

Tux does make a good point, there is always a danger that exposure can lead to thieves getting info on something you own. I wouldn't suspect the owners, but a worker in one of the shops could have spoken.

Budman, I hope you get your car back, I absolutely hate thieves and wish them a horrible death. Yeah, seems like overkill, but that's just how I feel, if karma were to step in and end them I would not have any sympathy.

It would be interesting to research the methodology they likely used to get past the ignition lock.

Obviously they broke the window and didn't get it started, so they didn't have an exact key (if they did it would absolutely implicate one of the shops) , but they must have known there was no alarm, and somehow defeated the steering lock.

It looks like the guy was hanging out by the driver's side front wheel for a moment. Wonder what he was doing
