2013 Duke 350 and Superduke R 1290

Not the production bike, but a running prototype. Start cutting up your license if you're on the waiting list. Everyone else commence drool-fest. :drool

Those exhausts in unison will sound BEASTLY.

WOW! Looks amazing.

I know it's a prototype, but I want to see how close the production bike will resemble the above.

From that photo, that whole front end is about 15K (external gas charged WP forks + billet calipers)

How in the fuck am I suppose to sleep without needing to change the sheets for the next 5 years.
Cause that's when I'll be able to afford one....

Manufacturers AND dealers guard their roadmaps dearly because the last thing they want is today's customer deciding to wait two years for the better model to come out. Sure they do teasers, but it's on their own terms and timing, usually not more than 6 months from release, especially if it's making a vehicle currently on the floor (or worse, in inventory) obsolete.

If KTM wanted you to see those bikes, they would have done a press release. Usually dealers sign pretty long and binding agreements to keep info from the dealer meeting top secret. This dealer just violated that agreement - he/she could lose his contract with KTM over this. I would call it justified if KTM chose to revoke their dealer agreement.

edit: the Duke 350 is no big deal; it's a new category and KTM would love for customers to hold off of DRZ or WR250 purchases to wait for a KTM. The SuperDuke announcement is a problem... there are still brand new 2008s sitting on dealer floors. If this sees wide distribution, it cuts at least another $1000 off of the already heavily discounted SDs. I'm not sure how the ADVs are doing, but this also cuts about $1000 off of those unless they are consistently sold out.

You are overreacting. You can go down to the dealership and place a deposit on a 2014 ADV right now. This isn't top secret stuff. Friends have been talking about the 2014 models for weeks.
