Looks like the weather will be pretty good for Wednesday 10-5-22. Hope to get some great times in. See you there.

Good luck out there I just got a new controller so I'll try and make it out to test it before the end of the season. Hope I don't wind up on my ass =P

10-5-22 results.

Another good day of racing. The wind was not too bad but did make a showing as it got later into the evening. Doug Love got the win over me in the finals. I went red bad. -069 and Doug got the win running a 13.03 on a 13.12 breaking out. I fouled first so Doug gets the win. Other than a crappy finals it was a good night. Doug is now 2 rounds ahead of me in Sonoma's points system and I am 10 points ahead of him in the traditional points total. Looks like there is a good chance we will have 2 different points leaders, but Sonoma's totals will be the overall winner i'm sure. No racing next week and the next race day is October 19. There will be a special Halloween event on October 26, which souonds like it will be fun.

Racing this Wednesday 10-19-22 is on. racing starts a 4pm get there early to get through tech and be ready to race at 4. $35 to race.

Goodluck I blew my motor last weekend and I have the more powerful motor that I had to tune to stock power in there currently. I got something awesome coming soon though hopefully will be able to make it out there with it before the last WND.

Hope the night went well. Got to see a video of your run from a friend that took his son up there.

I went out in the first round! That sucked but I did match my personal best at Sonoma so there was a bright spot.

Winner Doug Love and Runner up Brad Hawkes.

Wednesday Oct 26, Sonoma Halloween car show, food truck, drags and drift. First time ever for this event.

Results from 10-26-27.

Was a great night of racing. We had 19 bikes in the motorcycle class. We even had a bike with sidecar go down the track! The crowd was large with the night being the first Halloween/car show/food truck event.

I had to go 5 rounds and ended up the winner. I needed those points to put me in a virtual tie with Doug Love in the season points lead. Doug went out in the first round and the stars aligned for me. I won the traditional Wednesday night points title last night, but the Sonoma season Championship will be decided next week between Doug and I and Tom Myers has an outside shot at being spoiler.

November 12 will be a open test and tune. It is an all day event 8am to 6pm. The cost is $80 but you can run all day. Practice and figure out your bike. No eliminations, just practice all day. There will be a bracket race Sunday the 13th. This will be the last race of the year for Sonoma.

Thank you for keeping this thread going and posting a great video with commentaries - encouraging and got me excited to come out and learn a thing or two from you and other track rats :thumbup, gotta find the time :ride

Cool vid.

Not sure how that is done.

Good luck at the showdown.

A video of some of the runs last Wednesday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBQNjnkjH-8

Cool it sure is nice to have a 360 camera especially for those close races. For me it's either a you see nothing in front of me or a bike zoom by real quick.

Congrats on the win. Epic final race of busas. I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it out there before the new motor and controller come in. From what I hear people have been able to hit 90mph with this setup.

If you hit 90mph you will be flying!

The good news today guys is there is racing tonight.
The bad news is it's 1/8th mile. :mad

Results from 11-2-22.

It was the last night for the 2022 Sonoma Wednesday night drags points series. I needed to go 2 rounds more than Doug Love to win the Championship. Unfortunately, I fell short. I went out in the second round and Doug made it to the finals before losing to Sean Baldo on his MV Agusta. It was a great season of racing. There is 1 more race next week 11-9-22 but it's forecast for rain as of now and no points are at stake.

Racing was limited to 1/8 mile because of cold weather and the rain from the previous day made track conditions not ideal. We even had a rain delay right after the first runs were made. After that there was a big oil down in the right lane. I began to think maybe this is the Gods trying to tell us something. All went well after that, other than bone chilling cold and wind.

I was pretty consistent with my times and my reaction times were pretty good also. I ran 5.98 5.99 and 6.0 3 times. Good but not good enough.
