2019 - 2026 Wednesday Night Drags Sonoma

4-21-21 Race day. Last Wednesday night drags for the month of April. 1/4 mile racing. Get there early gates open at 3 racing starts at 4.

Have fun I just got the 2nd Covid shot and I'm feel as worse as last time plus I feel like someone beat me up good after Sunday's harescramble, I can't even lift my arm . Will see you guys in May :)

Haha I thought about taking the Cub but it's so painfully slow I'd better not. I would be interesting to see what it runs though...

Serious question here...do you think the Light Bee would post faster times? I'm curious what the margin would be.
I know, I could probably Google that stuff but I'd rather hear it from you. :thumbup

I think the Light Bee is faster, I've been riding both bikes and the Light Bee is so much lighter and torque on demand. A stock light bee is about as fast as a 125cc dirtbike (I drag raced a TTR125 down a straight during a trackday it was almost neck and neck) so my modified one is definitely faster. Since the Cub is heavier though and it has a flywheel it seems to maintain speed better though.

I think the Light Bee was like 20 or 21s stock and now it's down to 17-18s. So yeah it'd be significantly faster unless the Cub was modified. I know drag race scooters are crazy fast but this one is stock and I intend to leave it stockish =P I know moped drag racing is a thing in certain areas.

At least put your faceshield down dude

Recap from last nights races. Tyler Christie on the zx10 took the win over Eric Oliver on the Aprilia. I faced the season points leader Doug Love in the first round and just squeaked out a win over him with a better reaction time. He ran dead on his dial 13.25 on a 13.25 but I had a better reaction time and ended up winning the race by .0108 of a second. The next round the weather went from a headwind to no wind and I broke out running a 9.29 on a 9.33 dial. I was on the brakes but it wasn't enough. We had another large field of bikes I think 17 in total.

Sweet. Hope it was as fun as it sounds.

The early part of the day was great because there was a slight tailwind and some fast times were to be had. But as usual the wind turned and wrecked havoc going into eliminations. Then it changed again and went completely away so it kept everyone guessing on their dial ins.

I love this shit!
It's so much fun watching you and Doug duke it out year after year.
You two are the best Wednesday night ambassadors that place has.

I have to step my game up, been off all year so far. A few new guys out there and one is looking pretty good.

I'm pretty sure that 1/8th mile stuff at the beginning of the season didn't help.
There's a long way to go. You'll be there at the end. I have no doubt.

Wow congrats on taking out Doug early in the game! One day I'm gonna get Doug but it'll have to be when he's off his game =P It's the battle of drag racing senpais!

Here's one of me and you last week. 9sec vs 17sec! Literally twice as fast!

Problem is, I went out the next round after beating Doug! Early on was a good day for personal best, I think we had a few. See ya in a few weeks when racing is back on. A few more pics, a female is riding the burgundy Ducati.

Nice shots, you guys. :thumbup
Is that an Aprillia with the wheelie bars?:wtf

Yep that's the Aprilia Mille with the sketchy looking wheelie bars

Those bars look so out of place on that bike.
It reminds me of those kids books with the "what doesn't belong here" pictures....Apple, orange, banana, hammer.
Do you recall what kind of times it was running? How'd it do on the night?

Remember Eric the guy I raced and he went down at the finish line on his SV650. That's the rider of the Aprilia. From what I recall it was running around 10s.
