Does anyone know if the GM 3.0L diesel is 50-state compliant?

I'm looking for a new 1/2-ton pickup and don't want the 6.2L gas engine. For the trim level I want the only other option is the 3.0L diesel. I can't find one locally that's equipped the way I want but I have found a few in neighboring states. They all say they meet "Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington state emissions requirements". I bought my current truck in Idaho and it is a 50-state vehicle but there's nothing on the window sticker that says that and I'm 95% positive that it wasn't advertised as a 50-state truck when I bought it.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Aren't all new cars and trucks sold in the US today 50-state compliant?

That's a good question, and one I don't know the answer to. Trucks sold in California (and some I've seen in Reno) say they meet California emissions requirements. Others I've seen out-of-state do not say that.

we bought our sprinter new from a dealer in colorado (closest one - we only found 2 in the US configured how we wanted, and the other one was on the east coast). we asked the sales dude to send us a pic of the compliance sticker before we confirmed the deal. he did.

If you can find one in a trim that you don't want them it's 50 state legal. Afaik there isn't a manufacturer that is selling 49 state street legal class C vehicles. This wouldn't ever have crossed my mind.

there was a time where i knew where to look but... nope. not anymore. it was on the CARB website somewhere that a list of CARB legal items could be found. google-fu is failing me

See if emission sticker under the hood say federal or CA compliant

It'll be 50 state compliant, especially with the LZ0. I'd call a local dealer to be doubly sure, or CARB help: (800) 242-445. There's no 49 state mass produced vehicles being sold new in NA that I know of.

I have almost the same truck and love it
I have a Sierra with the 5.3 gas engine and two of my neighbors have Sierras with the diesel and they both like it. My truck isn't that old but I want to consolidate from two vehicles (Acadia and truck) to one and the AT4 Yukon doesn't come with the diesel so that's why I'm looking at the truck.

I have the 22 AT4 refresh with the 3.0 and love it. I recommend just getting all the options.
