for me it's not so much clean outerwear but clean undergarments and tshirts. As a minimum, I would pack as many as necessary till I could wash.

I can wear the same pair of jeans for a week but I need clean everything else.

I assume the trip is like this:

4 day ride to grandma's house, day hanging out with grandma, 4 day ride back.

I would look to pack 3 base layers, 3 chonies, 3 socks, 3 tshirts, 1-2 longsleeve tshirts, "decent" outfit to wear at grandmas while my clothes wash.

This should not be too hard to fit in a backpack

Updated with some other info.

No camping at all, we'll be in hotel rooms and family homes for the entire trip.

Oregon coast, Washington Coast, and then inland on the way back down.

Going to make up my list of what I was planning on and add it in as well, see what can be culled out of it.

If that's the case, you need next to nothing. Tools, toiletries, two sets of clothing and you are good to go. Since you'll be in/near civilization the entire time, you can always just buy something if you need it. The lighter you pack, the more you'll enjoy the trip.

insert misogynistic comment about women packing too much here
Dude, you're seriously overpacking but you do have bags so there is that. Might as well fill em!

I'd leave out the second set of boots (vented) and use wool socks to regulate temp.

Don't let us hear about your flaming moto on the news 'cause your vape shit lit up. :laughing

My initial list jus thinking about what I'd bring off the top of my head.

Agree with the light packers. But with no camping it's really a non-problem, and I could omit the dry bag here:

Leave 2/3 of your clothes at home. Skip the jeans, bring some outdoor type synth pants that convert to shorts. Packs small, easy to wash, dries fast. Same with shirts.

9 Socks why an odd number? If you mean 9 pairs, you are nuts. 4 at most.

Socks are something I am OCD about. I like knowing I"ll have clean socks regardless of how many I wear, and I want to know if they get wet, burned, ripped, or whatever, I have extras to swap. So 9 Pairs, yes sorry, PAIRS of socks, for 9 days, figuring 3 extra for the 6 I'll need before laundry on day 7.

9 Undies Too many. Bring 3-4, easily washable pair.

Kind of same as socks but yeah, probably bring that down to 5 or 6.

6 Shirts Only if you're doing a lot of social things with folks. Otherwise, just bring 3 or so

Was thinking 3 white shirts and 3 BARF shirts.

2 Riding Jeans Wear one good pair of moto pants and bring one pair of regular jeans

I got two riding jeans that look like jeans but might now want the armor so a regular jeans on top of that, dressy for going out at night.

1 Regular Jeans
1 Swim Trunks
1 Shorts
1 Thermal Bottoms
1 Thermal Top
1 Sweater
1 Heat Out Bottoms
1 Heat Out TOp
1 Cooling Vest
1 Overpants - Vented Is this in addition to the 2 pair of riding pants already listed?!??!!?!?

Yes, in case it rains or is wet I want something to throw over my riding jeans.

1 Leather Jacket
1 Cold Weather Jacket with Inserts Why not one good jacket, and use the thermals/heat out stuff you listed to layer appropriately?

Because if it's warm to hot I'll wear my leather jacket, but if it gets cold my leather jacket isn't good for cold weather so I'd swap to my cold jacket with layers inside and room for sweaters.

Riding Boots
Riding Boots - Vented Two pair of riding boots!??!?

One's full length coverage, one's vented and short, so more comfortable for walking around in than my full length ones. Not bringing sneakers because of that.

Dress Shirt/Polo
1 Hat
Camera and Lens
Battery Pack for charging
Charger for phone
Charger for camera
Tire Plug Kit
Tool Kit
First Aid Kit
Clear/Shaded Visor
Glass Cleaner
Ice Chest WTF?

Somewhere to keep waters/cokes/sammiches/beers cold?

Pack 4 days of socks, underwear, and t-shirts. Wash the dirties on day 5. Remember, you're wearing an unpacked set on day 1 (for a total of 5). One pair of shorts. One pair of shoes (I usually bring some that I don't need socks in). One pair of jeans/pants. 1 pair of board shorts (just in case there's a pool or lake or river!) Maybe you need a nice shirt for something? Your warm layer on the bike is also your warm layer off the bike. Done.

If you are going out at night, clean up and wear tomorrow's clean clothes out and tomorrow.

ups is your friend.
so is one day ship via amazon.

aka:spare parts.

as for clothing your ride is supposed to only be 9 days. ok think two extra.
plan on taking three days worth of clothing but for undies and socks. take 5 days. one pair of walking shoes (with great hiking style socks -counted as part of the 5), and one pair of flip-flops.
pending the where, what, and whom.
time of your and places to ride.

bring rain riding over gear.

cold weather:
neck down to the hands and feet. full water proof.
heated gear, jacket, gloves, socks. my legs do good with no heated pants.
if no heated gear think along the lines of layers.
baklava for the head, neck cozy, very thin hoodie, two layers over the chest/torso. long legged undies. thin first layer socks.
and first layer for the torso, pants, socks must be sweat wicking styles.
all this is to be counted in the total of the clothing.

hot riding:
do not let your skin be exposed to the wind. you will dry out way too fast.
so bring at min two gallons of water with you each day and drink most of it each day.
if your not P-ing, you had better be drinking water can be bought most days as needed.
----(if not already get a hydration back pack)----
avoid the premade "hikers" trash foods, as there is way too much salt in them. you will get sick off that much salt.

buy food along the way and make your own breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks.

medical:
yes plan on needing it big time. better to over pack here.
wraps, aleve, band-aids, tape, wound cleaners, (try to never use tap water) disinfect (the red stuff).
bring cold packs, and heat packs. three each.

bring a bar of ivory soap, can be used on every part of the body including hair, and cleans your socks great.

riding gear:
needs to be said? two pairs of gloves. standard and wet/cold weather.
maybe a way to (temp) patch leather? spare face shield. great plastic face shield cleaners.

maintance:
chain lube. spare chain and fix it kit.
fix a flat. plugs / patch and way to refill tire to correct psi.

pending on the where
two quarts spare oil.
two extra gallons gas.
break pads. cables.
fuel tank patch kit.
spare tires ready for ups next day to you.

camp:
two man tent / tarp,
compact sleeping bag,
sleeping pad,
emg blanket.
compact cooking kit, pot-n-pans, plates (three), bowls (three), (knife fork spoon ), larger spoon spatula, etc for cooking with, stove, got fuel.

work your bike over full service, week before you leave do a couple long rides to check out everything is golden,

then have fun, take lots of photos to post here.:thumbup

Holy cow! What do.you ride that can carry all that?

I'm still unsure about bringing my rain gear. My overpants and the Connie's protection is pretty good until downpour status, and my jacket is the same for up to downpour status. Only thing better I've got is rain gear, but not sure I want to bring it.

neck down to the hands and feet. full water proof.

I always ride with a couple of glove liners and a balaclava for cold weather. Got neck cozy but dont' like wearing it, too constricting for me. Legs and feet stay plenty warm with engine and connie protection so it's more torso and arms, thermals and a sweater should be good. Don't use heated gear.... yet.

Hydration pack is a great idea. May rig that up somehow to wear under my riding jacket.

I've got a pretty good set up for first aid, cold packs and heat packs though might be good to add.

No chain on a Concours :twofinger
Was going to get a couple travel containers though for oil and throw those on the bike for just in case-ies. Won't be carrying 2 quarts, or gallons of gas, or brake pads or cables, or fuel tank patch kit, or spare tires. :rofl

Changing tires, rotors and pads this week as prep on top of normal prep.

Yes. This. Never more than 4 days no matter the length of the trip.

Alternate, save up old underwear during the winter. Wear these and throw away when dirty. On day 5 visit a Walmart or JCPennys. Whatever. Most folks pack away waaaay waaaaaaaaaay tooo much.

My uncle buys a pack of shirts and underware, all nicely folded, and just pulls one out each day and throws it away.

That might be an idea. :laughing
