A candid opinion please

What is your opinion of Cross MC as a bystander

I have seen the patch a few times, but have never had any direct or indirect contact with them. And from what I can see, since nobody has yet come out and said they are bad or anything of the sort, I am guessing they are probably good folk.

Also, it is BARF, more tangents than the McArthur Maze...Hell, I couldn't even get popular opinion on trying to organize a social gathering, because everybody wanted to pipe in about a tv show that my friend's place happened to be on. It is what it is and they do what they do.

I think for me, I would have to ask, even though I don't know you...Have you been happy with your experience with them, so far?

I am attempting to gather the general public's perception. reasons? why i'm glad you asked.

Because of the following stereotypes that we would like to avoid:

#1) everyone rides a harley. well I don't, and I never will. I have 2 sport bikes 2 scooters and a cruiser I bought for my dad (Suzuki)

#2) anyone in an MC is big mean and scary and or indignant.

#3) as an outreach ministry, our focus is to support riders on the road, and anywhere else. if you've never heard of us, we're obviously not doing anything worth while.

I have been a member of this club for about 3 years now, a member of BARF going on almost 10 years, and the same for other boards. by in large, I have found that no one gives a rats hairy butt about MC's except when they make trouble.

I don't exist to tell you that you're going to hell or beat you over the head with religious fanaticism. I exist to ride my motorcycles, have a good time, and do so in such a way that it brings other people peace by whatever means that is.

I am not asking about your spiritual preferences nor political views, just simply, what can you say about the club (if anything).

I am going to present this to my founder, and some changes will be made accordingly.

thats all.

and yes, it IS a market research site, because you all have opinions, and they're all valid. (even the ones that label me as a jerk)

Is it necessary to bait the OP?

Wanna succeed?

Don't worry about public perception. It's as simple as this: just be yourselves and embrace those that get you. The one's that don't just smile and tell them to have a nice day. Gotta remember even those barfers that hate religion would still go out of thier way to help a stranger so they're not really much different than you.

And for fuck sake have a sense of humor! :)

Thanks for the backround info :thumbup

For myself; I'm always glad to hear about other folks who meet up from a shared interest in motorcycling and then find ways to support other motorcyclists :hail

I sure don't think of you as a jerk, btw. Please let the anti-religion stuff slide off your back, it's no different than anything else that sets some of us apart from the others, and there's no need to be defensive about your choices :thumbup

(humor works much better )

I've heard they're not good at math.

A Christian support? You handle bibles, hold hands, pray and stuff like that?

When I need support on the road, I personally don't care about the type of support. Religious, atheist, straight, gay, poor, rich, black, white, fat, fit, man, woman, Democrat, Republican, whatever, help is always good help.

There are plenty of non-profit or philanthropic organizations all over the world that we have never heard of. Doing good deeds quietly <> not doing anything worth while.

Oh, I get your point. It's spot on. /thread? :laughing

Ah, gotcha. Sometimes I have said things in all seriousness and people thought I was making a joke. So, it had to be explained...and I thought this was one of those.

Be weary, because the term "Harley" has become similar generalization to pitbull.(notice I did not capitalize) That any loud motorcycle with a "relaxed position" is going to be a Harley. Riders know better, general public does not.
So, the Suzuki cruiser to anyone that doesn't know, might as well be harley

Where are you based out of? where are all of your chapters? It looks like you guys are South Bay and what not (just guessing). Also, I think it is awesome that your focus is to support riders, how are you supporting them? Just because you are unknown, does not mean are doing anything that is not worth while. It could simply mean that you are helping individuals when you come across them or what not, and they tell their friend how awesome it was, but the conversation dies there.

If you would like to bat more ideas around, feel free to pm me. My other responses are bolded...but as I said, I have seen the patch, but know nothing of them...

I know flames and such motifs are popular for motorcycles in general, but if you wanted something less "Harley", maybe switching up the logo to something...fresher? Sportier? A mix?---would be better.

I see black and flames and MC and think "Harley". I know that's what you're kind of trying to avoid, but outside the motorcycling world, most people to tend to make the same grouping/affiliation with that theme and in an even stronger way.

well the type of support I was referring to was the pickup truck and the trailer, tire patch kit, water, jump start etc etc.

but if you don't want our help, that's really ok with me.

this amount of targeted animosity you have stems form a MUCH deeper traumatic incident. sorry that happened to you. don't take it out on the rest of us.

Lord Darth, I said all help is good help, including from God or his discliples.

Oh, 3-4 posts, maybe 100 words, and you know I suffer a deep traumaic incident. So you don't believe in science but can diagnose a person with so little information. It must be divine intervention.

Oh, 3-4 posts, maybe 100 words, and you assume things about my perception of the world around me. So you don't believe in God but can judge a person with so little information. It must be all that psychological training you've had.
