There is a thread in polisink about school shootings. If any of you visited that thread, there was a post by one of the Bloomberg fan boys calling me out about bad guns, specifically Sig P320. You can not educate people who don’t want do be educated. So instead of bringing back that point there, I’ll post it here. I’m carrying P320 daily, with over 1500 rounds through that gun sines I got it last summer. And I have confidence in that gun.

This is the pistol bought by the US military.................so there is that.

This thread made me laugh, thinking about when I sold a P230 here over 11 years ago and in typical barf know-it-all fashion, a guy chimed in that it was a P232.
Holding in my hand a pistol with the markings P230- Made in Western Germany right on it.

That “European style” mag release is enough to turn most shooters off, reminiscent of those old style P220s.

I hope the cool guy barfer who bought it still is enjoying it.

LEO's who don't pull their service weapon often suffering from negligent discharges?

I laugh my ass off when I hear people say that “only police should have guns”. If only those idiots knew how bad cops are with gun handling and training.

Anecdotal, but I have a few P320's and haven't had problems with them. But I haven't dropped them or tried to clean them with a round in the chamber either.

Yep. And when bad guys are at your door, threatening you, cops are always not there. Maybe as much as a half hour or more away.

It’s up to the individual to protect themselves and those they love. Cops are primarily there after the fact to clean up any mess. By then it’s often too late.

And one of the reasons we’ve really never been invaded (as a country) is we have the largest standing army in the world. And our enemies know that.

Has it had the Sig factory recall done? If you haven't, Sig pays Fedex 2-day shipping both ways and turnaround is about 0.8 days. Might be a bit longer now with holiday shipping rush or closed business days- still very quick.

My new 8-week old P320/M18 (California rostered) Sig tuned up whatever needed as it was a running change, no recall needed. I've got about 600 down the pipe and it shoots fine.

My 320 that I got in July of 2022 is post recall. By now it has over 7 thousand rounds across 3 different slides (3.6”, 3.9”, and 4.7”), and four different grips. Most of those rounds are with 4.7” which is my EDC.

I live in Oregon and my county has two sheriff deputies covering 1,800 square miles. There is no police force in my “town” which is an unincorporated area. I recently obtained my CHL so I can carry discreetly while hiking. I have a Barsony pocket holster and one of their shoulder holsters for safe carrying.

Back to the P320 article, I couldn’t help but ask WTF people were doing carrying loose in their purse. For those that shot themselves while withdrawing the weapon from a holster, were they squeezing the trigger as the pulled it out?
And cleaning a loaded gun? For the love of Dog, I cannot facepalm hard enough.

You can't fix stupid.:deadhorse
In this case, the Judge sure did.

As did the AB1333 (California) citizenry. Enough hell got raised the ridiculous proposed laws that if 1-99 armed bad guys entered your home, you would have a "duty to retreat". I guess to call their moms, get them a puppy, make a sammich or something. Anyway, sufficient folks raised hell the author (representing Hollywood, seriously) pulled the bill and retreated himself to STFU.
