Advice Needed: Outdoor Security camera

The set we got has 6 solar cameras each with a second 10-foot USB solar panel. 4K and can record as much storage you install. AI face, license plate, and pet recognition, with some additional features we do not use. Seems to work well, but it cost $600 with two more USB powered indoor pointable cameras which are out on the portch. Except it missed the neighbors pitbull come up onto the porch and take our dog's bed out to the lawn for a workout.

What I like about the Eufy cameras is that they have internal storage, so if your network/power goes out they can still capture video

I'll look into the Wyze as well.
One thing to note, is that This will be setup on my neighbors house/wifi. They had agreed to allow me to install a camera. They have the backyard that has a view of the mailbox. So it has to be a pretty uncomplicated install.

I'm planning to buy the Euphy and install it at my home to test it out. It sounds like most here have had good experiences with it.
If it works well, i will migrate it to the neighbors. If not, return it and see about Wyze.

Thank you everyone for the advice and experiences. I will update and share once it's up and running.

Get 2 separate cameras, 1 wide view , 1 zoomed in LPR . If you can set up an IR floodlight for license plate illumination at night off your mailbox post it will help.

What are you planning on doing after you figure out who it is… ?

Report it to the police/USPS. It's better than saying "someone broke in, please fix"
Now whether or not they investigate who knows.
I think this camera also has an alarm that can be set off manually too. So if someone happens to be looking at the notifications, they can set the alarm off.

As for flood lights, we can't do that. The shared complex mailbox is on the other side of the sidewalk, and we have people who walk their dogs all the time day/night. Can't have the lights flashing on them all the time. This is why i need something that stores ~5 days worth of continuous recording. Notifications will be insane.

My Arlo system will let me turn on a light and yell at them as I watch the stream.
