Advice Wanted Ninja 1000 Bagger

Figure out what you would like to carry in those bags and make sure it fits. My Ducati sidecases are too small to hold my 14" laptop even in the tightest fitting laptop bag due to their "sculpted" shape.
They will hold a helmet no problem, but not a 14" laptop I need to carry every day. Bummer.

Swap them out for Givi gear. It's a free country!
I put a Givi top case on my BMW because the side cases were weirdly shaped, mostly for looks, not for practicality. The top case can hold 2 helmets, or about 10 laptops.

Great bike, people love em.

LMK what you decide to do, we have one green and one blue here in stock (Blue has bags on it). They are on my "list" of bikes this month, so we can make something nice happen for you, Kawi also has a $500 rebate on them this month, it's a "dealer rebate" not a "customer rebate" so you might not see that advertised.

If you want and I'll get one of them PDI'd so you can take it for a quick demo ride to make sure you like it. :thumbup

I chose the ktm SMT over the kawasaki. had my mind set on the ninja now that 2014 has abs but it was not to be.

engine wise I like the kawasaki more by a small margin.

however..

SMT has a better suspension in my OPINION. longer travel for comfort and good valving for handling. no side fairing, cheap crash bars. SMT also weights alot less. in my estimate about 50 pounds

price wise they were close since I bought a leftover '13 model

Yeah, but I'm guessing he still beats you to where you're going. It doesn't matter how fast your bike is when you frequently have to stop to get your luggage out of the road :laughing

Ouch... :laughing

At least I know you read my thread.:p
