I picked mine up a couple times and then one day I fell over in some really loose sand and physically couldn't pick it up and had to call a friendYes it is heavy to pick up. I thought I was in shape but found out quickly as my legs turned to mush that I wasn't! Never had an issue picking it up before but I've never been this old and out of shape before!!
Thanks, but actually, Mt. Patterson was easy peasy! I pussed out on the last 1/2 mile of Verdi Peak and walked it from the parking area to the lookout. Just pooped out and sore ankle. Did you do Verdi also?@MTERK That's a lot of bike to haul up Patterson! Good on ya!
I had a GS several years ago and always said that it was easier to pick up than a lot of bikes just for that reason! And good for you for still getting out and having fun. You got a few years on me, guys like you inspire me to go till you can't!!!!I picked mine up a couple times and then one day I fell over in some really loose sand and physically couldn't pick it up and had to call a friendI sold it and bought another BMW 1200GS that lays on its cylinders and I can use my legs. I'm 73 and I'm not going to get crazy off road and GS is fine on fire roads!
