AJP PR7 questions

Sorry, should have put these in another thread. This will probably be it though.

Yes it is heavy to pick up. I thought I was in shape but found out quickly as my legs turned to mush that I wasn't! Never had an issue picking it up before but I've never been this old and out of shape before!!
I picked mine up a couple times and then one day I fell over in some really loose sand and physically couldn't pick it up and had to call a friend :( I sold it and bought another BMW 1200GS that lays on its cylinders and I can use my legs. I'm 73 and I'm not going to get crazy off road and GS is fine on fire roads!

@MTERK That's a lot of bike to haul up Patterson! Good on ya!
Thanks, but actually, Mt. Patterson was easy peasy! I pussed out on the last 1/2 mile of Verdi Peak and walked it from the parking area to the lookout. Just pooped out and sore ankle. Did you do Verdi also?

I had a GS several years ago and always said that it was easier to pick up than a lot of bikes just for that reason! And good for you for still getting out and having fun. You got a few years on me, guys like you inspire me to go till you can't!!!!

Yeah, I did Verdi on my Africa Twin on a separate trip earlier this summer. It was a spicy climb on the big girl.

Couldn't be any better weather wise! except so much sun made me sneeze!! We had lows of 28-32 in the morning and mid 70's all day. Perfect! Just hard to climb out of the bag!!
