it's almost like it's a high mileage old bike or something. Drain the distilled water if run through the system with the plan of getting coolant in there and running the motor up to temp so I can sync the carbs, but the water made a little bit or rainbow on the ground. Ran my finger around the rim where the radiator cap goes and yep, oily residue. Oil looks fine and was unremarkable when I changed it less than 1000 miles ago, so it's probably not totally failed yet, but I guess I may as well rebuild it while I'm doing the calipers. I'll ride this bike someday!

Although, as I was attempting to clean out the overflow reservoir I realized it's full of poly residue and I recall it being that way since I bought the bike, so maybe this is all just leftovers from a previous failure. Probably still best to do it while I'm at it though.
