AMA allows 636cc Ninja in 600cc classes

noticed in the article that is states that it will be eligible

"The ZX-6R will be eligible in the Daytona SportBike and SuperSport classes for the 2013 AMA Pro Road Racing series and can also be raced in several dozen different classes of the WERA, CCS, AFM, MRA, CVMA, CMRA and UtahSBA championships"

At CVMA down south, we allow that thing in our MW class races..

Its also noteworthy that we also allow the 675's, 848's, etc.. in our MW classes as well.

AFM allows up to 750 in the clubman MW as well. But a 636 (currently) wouldn't be allowed in classes capped at 600cc for an inline 4

BRING IT! My R6's are ready :twofinger

Honestly makes similar power but bit more mid range.. only 4 injector bike also which makes big difference..

848 and 675 are different because of how many cylinders they have a inline 4 with more engine displacement is a different story.

that 36cc isn't enough of a difference to write home to mom about. More people paying entries and getting on the grids should be the goal. Figure out a way to include them rather than pawning them off on classes that were built when there actually were 750's. The fastest riders will always be at the front regardless of what bike you put them on. That 36cc's extra isn't a big enough difference to cry about..

does not seem right to me.. maybe it is just because Kawasaki is 8 letters and Yamaha is only 6?

Cool bought the right bike just in case I want to hit a few AMA rounds. And that is a big just in case :laughing

So in AMA since the ZX6R can have an extra 37cc's. Can the other manufactures increase the displacement on their bikes?

the 636 is also at a weight disadvantage to run in DSB... needs to be 20 lbs heavier than the 599cc
