Starting today I have 3 months to prove the AMA how bad ass their first O/MC is.
DRIVE OVER AS OF 8/15/16
OK for real... we are doing a membership drive to try to get our AMA membership over 178 folks, well over hopefully. 178 is how many have the AMA Tag in their avatar.
This drive is for both renewals and new members.
For each new member barf will be given a $5 charitable donation and for a renewal we will receive $3. The money will go to the AMA history museum.
By joining or renewing through this webpage, you’re supporting our community. Because we are an AMA Chartered Club (the first ever online one), a portion of your dues will go back to barf in the form of a small charitable donation.
Your AMA dues also support the fight to protect your riding freedoms against distracted driving, insurance discrimination, untested fuels and many more.
If you have hung around here for a while you know I am an AMA life member and work with the AMA Western States Rep on the CMSP committee, but probably more importantly we are working together on multiple political fronts. That relationship is continuing to blossom and we each have our own assets in the fight for our right to ride and to help make sure moto safety continues to be addressed at the top level.
I have you. Boots on the ground so to speak that give me an incredible resource of knowledge and a voice to reach out to at times. That pays huge dividends in my CA Motorcycle Safety Committee in terms of feed back and at times ideas I might grasp on to and try to push up the chain. I do try to share those things with you guys that care often. I do appreciate your time here for allowing us to create that influence.
The AMA though has boots on the ground in Washington as in a lobbyist and from what I am learning from my time working with the State and now reaching beyond that and trying to work with and influence actual policy makers lobbyist are where it is at.
So I know one thing for sure... some will say the AMA does not support the helmet law so I won't join the AMA. I would hope you would open you mind beyond that narrow view and see the bigger picture. Just like any politician you are not going to like 100% of what they do or stand for. However if they stand for you in most cases you will still likely vote for them. This is like that.
The AMA battles for us. They support the sport in many ways. Racing is why I joined way back when and while I still love racing what they do for our rights is why I am a staunch supporter and asking you now to join the AMA. Hillary and Donald have enough cash and neither will help us keep our land accessible. Keep corn crap out of our gas... or give a damn when we are targeted by other politicians looking to make their mark at our expense.
So there you go. My pitch. This goes for 90 days and I hope to have many of you join me in supporting the sport by supporting the AMA.

The little blurb said it was corrected at the end.
