Looks like the supply chain is opening up. Anyone else notice that?

Still no 22LR or 10mm. WTF with 22LR? Six months to get their shit together.

.223 and 5.56 is definitely coming back. Note that AR type rifles came back first, then magazines and ammo.

Powder and primers, not. .224" rifle bullets, not. Probably the last components to become available will be 55gr FMJ, appropriate powder, and small rifle primers.

It is , bummer I have almost zero interest is shooting my AR these days :laughing

Still expensive, but now available online, which I have not seen in a while. So I expect price drops to follow.

I managed to pick up a couple boxes of 22LR Friday locally. A box each at Dick's and Big5. CCI Mini Mags, 375 for $25, and Winchester 555 for $35 (ouch but not as bad as some places)

Not yet. Shit still seems outrageously priced compared to 6 or 7 years months ago.

Fixed for accuracy.

I won't consider supply as back to anything until 9 mm falls back down close to $0.20/rd (WWB and equivalent). I don't care if it's out there if the price is $0.50/rd. As long as stores and websites are rationing purchase orders and charging exorbitant rates, it's still a shortage.

I think maybe a more accurate statement would be that the amount of people willing/able to pay the extortion rates is becoming fewer.

That's like waiting for gas to go back below $2.00/gal. Ain't gonna happen. They know people will pay the higher price, so there's no incentive to lower it...

That's bad business. People don't HAVE to shoot like they HAVE to drive in many instances.

If I had to guess, the shortage (and resultant prices) was from everyone stocking up. Maybe personal stores are becoming more adequate and people are tapering off the hoarding. The mentality may be that now that people are comfortable with their home supply, they don't have to buy as much - it still doesn't mean they'll be willing to continue to pay out the nose for a trip to the range.

Prices may never come back down to Earth, but if they stay where they are I believe it will ultimately hurt manufacturers. It's also hard to get people into shooting when a couple hours at an indoor range winds up costing $100+.

Five years ago Remington .223 55gr 20rd boxes were $10 at Walmart and you can buy brass .223 online for 50c/rd right now. There's still a gap because of the difference in brands and store vs web pricing, plus you have to work a little harder to get deals, but you can essentially find pricing that nearly matches that of 5 years ago (re .223).

And 5 years ago I never bought .223 at WalMart because that was an awful price - you could get a case of brass .223 for around $330. Now you can't even get 9mm for that price (maybe steel cased lead ball or reloads...).

I have had no problem getting all the 10mm I want throughout the hoarding panic.

Those fine gentlemen at Underwood produce excellent full power stuff for far less than the cost of the wimpy "standard" rounds that the majors produce. :thumbup

Yeah, I've recently noticed some online availability of 9 mm -- finally -- but the cheapest is about .53 cents per round instead of the .22 cents I'm accustomed to. Hopefully the prices will start dropping.

Still see 223 going for $400 for half a case :wtf That's $800 for 1,000. I paid $350 for 1,000 about a year ago and that was factory brass not steel cased.

Anyone going to the SF Gun Show this saturday? I cant but need small rifle primers. Reloading supplies are all sold out. Lots of people stalking up as the upfront cost is smaller than forking over $800 only 1,000rds.

Oh shit! Did I forget to tell you guys about the fathers day sale at Miwall in Grass Valley last week? Wholesale kinda stuff. Umm, sorry!:laughing They had buckets of everything - no limit 22 lr was mostly what I went for but ended up picking up a bunch of .40 reloads cheap. I didn't price the 223s but I saw people with multiple hand trucks filled.

People arrived before dawn and waited hours to get in. I just walked right in at 3 pm and had a small wait to pay on the way out. Not bad.

someone just sent me this link.

These guys fucking ROCK!!!
I've added them on Facebook, and I get updates via push on my cell phone. These assholes have cost me $300 this week alone! :rofl

Seriously, I've stocked up on .45 and .223 for CHEAP this past week compared to 3-4 months ago.

I haven't bought ammo in 6+ months, up until last weekend.

Yikes! Shouldnt have checked that site out!

Is #3 Steel Shot ok for trap? It's only 6.5 cents a round shipped for 2,500. I know A lot but that's a deal. #7.5 is about 9.5 cents shipped.
