Go to Rembrant square at night. Follow your ear. You will not be disappointed.

Great foodie town. Le zinc et les autres on prinsengracht is life changing. Get the cheese plate for dessert. Another place on prinsengracht, can't remember the name, traditional Dutch food -- absolutely incredible.

Watch your wallet in the red light district. Better yet don't even go there - it's dumb and sad masked with a bunch of drunk Brit frat boys.

Use the public transit. It's super easy and dirt cheap. I always splurge on the taxi in and out from the airport but I hear the train is the best option.

DO NOT walk in the bike lanes.
