If this was said in a church, any BS politician would say that sort of thing. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Palin or Obama.

If it's outside of a church...more worrisome.

And yes, I would prefer a Prez who does whatever comes to mind vs what they think GAWD wants them to do. One process involves some kind of thought, weighing of options, consequences and costs, the other involves "hey, if an absolute authority wants me to nuke the Russians, who am I to argue?"

I don't want the decision process short circuited in anyone with that much power.

That is the whole wrighting incase you missed it. It was a private prayer left at the in Jerusilum that somebody dug up. I paid my respects to emperor Meiji at a shrine in Japan, so what?

I just like to watch the hypocrisy reign here on BARF! Of course it was a setup...

Valgar's link has a cute line about Obama sending the prayer to the media outlets...take that for what you will...

But I'll take this as tacit understanding that using religious beliefs/ language as fodder is crap...or so I would hope some are smart enough to distinguish.

I'm really hoping that you aren't trying to compare Obama's private prayer to the last 8 years of religious dogma being forced down United States citizen's throats ?!

GW has repeatedly violated the spirit of "separation of church and state"

McCain, as his party's minion, will do the same.


Will the Dem's do the same ? Hmmm, there's no precedence, but one never knows.

I'm still waiting to see where "separation of church and state" is in the constitution.

All we have is this

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I won't. Hypocrisy is something I rarely fall victim to. Why? Cause I avoid being an elitist.
