btw, that is no normal helicopter, its a dual main rotor, no tail rotor, is that just more stable?
Also the word helicopter is not pronounced like you think it is. Root words are helico and ptero, (think pterodactyl). It should be pronounced heli-co-tear. You heard it here first.

It's a Kaman. The US Navy flew a few them in the '80's. The dual rotor thing isn't that uncommon. I wouldn't say that it's more stable, but the lack of tail rotor does help in some circumstances. You certainly don't have the problems related to loss of the tail rotor. The Kaman's dual main rotors cannot come out of sync. Interestingly enough, that isn't the coolest thing about it. It's the flaps on the rotorblades that is the cool tech for a helo.
