dogtownmax said:dude, i really was not giving you a hard time. its just that cars are slow, clumsy, lumbering behimoths, yes, including the oh-so-awsome M3, which may be _capable_ of moving out of its own way, except for the hard limits of traffic, and the usual limits of its owners. seems like the faster cars are always driven by the slowest people. either they are saving it for the track (ok, that accounts for < 1%) or they bought the car to make themselves faster, which doesnt work.
back to the point tho. cars are slow, and subject to bad traffic. bikes are fast and can split. instead of making a hole close up, just make the room and let the bikes pass. it may look squiddy to you, but there is no reason for the hole to close.
again, not giving you a hard time, but getting passed by a bike on 17 while in a car is, well, not unusual to say the least. and from experience, i would never wait for a half mile in the hopes that the car in my way was going to move over to let me pass. i just treat em like pylons and keep moving.
really this is the result of seeing millions of drivers white-knuckling it over 17 at a pace that would be achieved using an electric wheelchair, M3's included.
the best part is watching all these duper fast cars tiptoe up the hill because the "drivers" are afraid to hear the engine rev, then they careen down the other side, barely in control, thiinking that the downhill is where they get to go fast, like they are skiing or something. its pathetic.
so in closing, its the cars that are held in distain.

again, this is not directed at you. im just talking about riding over 17.
lol...you clearly own a slow car. Don't piss on fast cars because you see people driving them slow and think how fast YOU would be driving them if only you owned one.
so, in closing, enjoy your Honda Accord, and try not to hate sports cars just because some people don't drive them like you think they should be driven. If you think they should be driven hard all the time, then buy one, otherwise quit whining, and please move to the right when I come up behind you in the fast lane.
