Yes, I thought I was getting vertigo again from a bicycle crash 3+ years ago.

Barely felt it here in Santa Rosa but I got a sense of vertigo at that very time twice in like 10 seconds.

Tsunami alert issued.
I did not feel the quake. It was a big one.

Felt on the fourth floor here in Alameda. I hope I can make off the "Island" today :laughing

Yup, I'm up here in Cobb. The quakes up here did not seem too bad. Living up near the Geysers we get so many quakes that I just kind of go "another quake?" Eh.

I didn’t feel it but was somewhat alarmed at hearing an alarm in the other room and not knowing what it was. Then I realized that it was my iPad with the auto alert. Weird thing is my iPhone didn;t beep or get the alert. They usually both beep at the same time.

And since I am within the Great 2024 San Pablo ATT outage which started Tuesday and is still out until tomorrow or some other late date, I couldnt quickly figure out WTF. No Internet, hardwire phone or TV and I get shitty radio reception because of the hilly area. but i did get my two bars of Verizon to load the USGS page. And oddly enough,, BARF works pretty good on bars.

I have been FOMOing at the mouth for days. Did I mention I hate ATT moar than evah!

I felt it in Richmond - super tiny.

However, the tsunami warning prompted the building manager to evacuate so we had to cancel our work X-Mas party :(

edit: and I just noticed someone plopped a big wad of lotion on my shark head avatar!

got the alerts but nothing felt in Livermore
Mom is in town of Mendocino, she reallly did not feel much there either.

There were a LOT of cars driving out of San Francisco around noon. 92 out of Half Moon Bay was a parking lot too.

I drove east across the Bay Bridge when the tsunami was supposed to arrive, but did not get swept away by a wave.

I felt it.
I was standing in an auto repair shop when the alerts started going off on people's phones. Then it started to shake. Built up to what felt like a 6.5, then slowly subsided. We shook for almost a full minute.
Tsunami alerts came right away, and most schools and tsunami zones were quickly emptied of people.
30 minutes later the tsunami alerts were cancelled.
Better safe than sorry.

I work in Castro Valley at a middle school. I was in 3rd period math and didn't feel a thing although the alerts went off. We're up on hill 30 miles inland from SF so no one batted an eye. As soon as the alerts stopped we went back to our review for tomorrow's test on System of Equations.
Meh.
