Anyone live in Huntington Beach area?

Garden Grove which is just north of HB was renamed Little Saigon many years ago.

Seal Beach might be a better fit, next town north. You might also consider Dana Point or San Clemente. If you don't mind inland, the city of Orange is actually pretty cool also.

I wholeheartedly agree with every other opinion on Huntington, it's trashy.

Little Saigon is parts of Westminster and Garden Grove. Such awesome food. I have not found better baguettes or pho. Such terrible traffic on the weekend. I'd rather live in Westminster than HB.

Westminster? Like where Boeing is? I didn't get a feel for the size of WM, but it looked pretty cracker'esque.

On thew west side of 405, ya, but Westminster is actually the original Little Saigon.

That's So-Cal lingo, which includes you......quit denying it........it sounds better than saying I-405

I grew up in southern California. We never said that shit. It's a recent thing. :twofinger

And I'm fine with saying "the 405 freeway". Just not "the 405". That sounds retarded. I-405 sounds perfectly fine to me. So does just 405. :p

I wonder if San Diego peeps like their town being called "Norte Tijuana"? :p

Considering that almost 50% of those peeps are Hispanic, including several who stand on street corners with signs claiming that Cali still belongs to Mexico anytime a new immigration policy is being voted on, I'd say they like it just fine :laughing

This comment defined the failure of the California educational system. Proper grammar should never be frowned upon. The word "the" is a singular determiner for a noun.

Thus: the lake, the car, the park, the freeway, the 405.

Do you take car to carwash? Or do you take the car to the carwash?

Please stop talking like a caveman; you will be a better person for it.

huntington beach is a 'working class' community although parts of it has gone upscale. the portion by the pier/downtown will be high traffic and douchy.

if you can afford it move south into laguna niguel, san clemente, mission viejo, irvine, etc. you'll still have 'beach' weather.

:wtf

405 is not a noun...it's a number for an interstate or highway if you will. If you called it "The 405 Freeway" or used it's official name which is "The San Diego Freeway", that'd be totally fine. But just saying "The 405" doesn't work and sounds stupid. Using that logic, maybe the Britains are correct when they say we should say "the school" (as in, "We're taking the kids to the school.") since we add "the" before hospital in every sense (as in, "He was rushed to the hospital.") :twofinger

Freeway is a noun. THE 405 is a freeway. 405 is a noun.

LOL, grammar fail. 405 is a name, not a noun.

Do you call yourself "the Eric"?
