Reviewing tire options for my GS500 and narrowed it down to these two tires for my usage.

Is anyone using either of these two tires on their smaller displacement bikes?

I love my Q3s on my ZX6R, but they don't fit the GS wheel.

I just picked up an R3 and installed S20 Evos. I haven't really pushed them, but turn in is good and they seem pretty grippy. The thing corners like its on rails! Many in the R3 fold go with Pirelli Rosso IIs. I not familiar with the GPR 300s.

Running an S20 EVO 110/70-17 on a GS500 wheel on the front of my DR350. Stellar performance, and never slipped unless I was doing something really stupid in a corner, like mashing on the brakes while at serious lean angle. And even then, it recovered almost instantaneously.

GPR300 hasn't been out that long, so I'm not sure there's as much feedback for them.

Thanks for the feedback!

we use s20 evos on our R3 and ninja 250 and my wife used them at the track no problem.i just got a set of alpha 13's for my ktm 390 for track and road use.they come in 110/70 and 150/60 sizes and kind of feel like Q3's.

Love the S20 EVO and the S21 are even better

I've got S20s on the RVFlette and they're dandy. I plan to replace them, like for like.

I bought some GPR 300 for the 250. it was nice having a real DOT tire for the 250 that performed great :thumbup. price point was great too!

I put S20 Evo tires on both front and rear on my Kawasaki EX500 and I think they're great.

Steering is so much quicker and responsive. I've not run out of grip yet (knock on wood) while leaned over enough to start doubting if I would make the corner or not.

I chose it over the Michelin Pilot Street Radial for cost reasons and based on customer reviews. There were several others that I considered but the Bridgestones and the Pirellis were the last two I considered. Choices for performance street tires are limited for bikes like mine that use tires smaller than what 600cc sport bikes usually use.

The emergence of the smaller bike market is really benefiting those with smaller displacement motorcycles. When I had my first GS500, I couldn't find Radials in stock sizes. Now with the new R3, RC390, etc. the tire manufacturers are giving us tires we can work with.

Thanks for all the feedback. EVO S20 it is.
